Physiotherapy(BPT) some realities 1)The vast majority of physiotherapists are unemployed or in low paying jobs and many have sought other employment for livelihood. 2)There are over 5060 physiotherapists passed out in South India alone. The number of physiotherapists required in a 200-bed hospital is just one. Those who have studied in previous years are remains here unemployed, then how many hospitals will be needed to get them jobs here. 3) It is a fact that the job opportunities abroad are decreasing drastically every year. Migrant physiotherapist , in UK, US Canada are working in petrol pumps, supermarkets and hotels. Only natives of respective countries only getting jobs in Gulf countries 4)Many hospitals now converting their physiotherapy department to Physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR)HOD will be physiatrist (MBBS DPMR )role of a physiotherapist in this department is just a helper 5)Since there is no regulatory authority(council) for physiotherapy in India somany unautherised practices (quakery)going on in this field This also reduces job opertunities 6)Now a days new threat also there... Bvok physiotherapy that is common in normal arts collage only 3 years, course. Hospitals appoint these people with less salary 7)In big hospitals physiotherapy is under physiatrist when it comes to small hospital it is under nursing suprend. It is duty of physiotherapist to pull physio machine trolley to bed side of each patient in wards for treatment their condition is bad than ward boys 8)Running own clinic need huge investment no patients approach physiotherapist directly. Reference from medical doctors is a must usualy they give pain killers to patient or ask commission for each reference. Majority of clinics closed already or in loss 9)"Physiotherapists are called as doctors "" these are only just canvasing words of agents during admision. In practical sence none of the hospitals, gov bodies allow this 10)Going for MPT (post graduation)not makes changes there is no propotionate grouth in income after doing that. Main aim of mpt holders are to become professor in bpt collages but collages appoint physiatrist (MD physiatry)as professors & principal in collages 11)If a person join BPT who are the benificiaries. Career guidance people who took admission will get commission. Collage authorities will get donation fees fine etc in huge amount After struggling 4 & half years. Private hospitals will appoint him as a trainee (slave)with out salary and charge him thousands for experience cirtificate after some years this physiotherapist will quit physiotherapy field for livelihood Do you want to spoil your future by studying physiotherapy? Bpt പഠിച്ചാൽ doctor എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെടും ഇൻഡിപെൻഡന്റ് ആയി കേസുകൾ ചെയ്യാം എന്ന് അഡ്മിഷൻ സമയത്തു ഏജന്റ് ഇറക്കുന്ന പ്രലോഭനമാണ് യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഒരു ഹോസ്പിറ്റലുകാരും ഇതൊന്നും അനുവദിക്കില്ല

Hello man ,BPT is not a paramedical course.BPT stands for Bachelor of Physiotherapy its not BSc . BPT is about 4 year and 6 month internship and Masters in Physiotherapy 2 years total 7 years of making . Differents of specializations also available on MPT sports,ortho,neuro,cardiorespiratory,geriatric,pediatric,musculoskeletal,community based rehabilitation,robotics etc I am pursing my Masters in Physiotherapy ( Musculoskeletal and Sports) .It has a wide scope .

People like you will not become a physiotherapist because you will always demotivate patients. A good physiotherapist will treat their patients like their family members. You says that scope of bpt is declined every day that's wrong❌ just go and refer you will see n number of opportunities for bpt even in abroad. 1 cardiopulmonary 2 cardiothoracic 3 sports medicine 4 orthopedic 5 neurology 6 geriatric 7 paediatric and so many branches. 21 bpt cllages in tamil nadu seats 1050karnataka 19 seats 950.. kerala 15 total seats 650 total out put of students in south india 2650 students passed out in earlier years still in job market with out proper job. Just think how many hospitals should be there to accomodate this huge number
