In my view monthly minimum Rs. 1 lakhs is required per person For a family, it will go more. So keep Rs. 2 laks for monthly expenses. Initial payments etc may be Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 lakhs minimum. Monthly maintenance charges is required. TV, Telephone, current charges, Electric charges, panchayat and Muncipality charges, water bill etc is additional. Then medical charges, transportation charges etc is extra. Every thing is ok. But money. Keep Rs. 2 lakhs per month total expenses. This is my calculation only. I bought a flat in Kottayam Town for old age living. My experience. If good money. Then it is ok. Do not jump without Money. This family get Social security and pension from USA.
