It’s our responsibility to raise them. And for that we cannot expect them to do everything for us. They have their own life. I am not saying they don’t have to do. It’s better if they find time and spend time with us. That’s only my opinion

Taste's are different. Each one has got their own freedom to choose. After Travelling through out the world for many years, we are settled in our Cozy built House with our Two Children/Son and daughter settled down in USA . Both are CEO's with high profile Corporates n US Citizens. They are all including grand Children do come every year and spend the Vacation with us. We on our part Started a Charitable Trust in our area at Palakkad and adopted 50 Very poor Ladies any cast or religion all above the age of 70 years who are thrown out of their house .Children n Grand kids also fully support this. I am 77 yrs and my wife is 70.we don't feel or get old . Morning till evening we are very active taking care of such most deserving cases.we spread the message that each family if they adopt at least their servant/Driver or any other deserving families their happiness and life style gets automatically improved. Ours is a Posh Locality and most of our age groups started adopting at least one such deserving case. God Has created us to love n Live. We have to Serve the needy. God will take care of us.we keep Robust health and drive around in huge car. I am a Bike Lover. Always serve others n you will never get tired. Love you all Take care❤
This is a very useful video.Everything you said is right. It is not good to burden children because of the life situations in America you described. Returning to Kerala might not be easy at all after being in U S A for decades because of harsh weather,political conditions and lack of regulations to maintain food safety.Besides things changed in Kerala a lot and it might not be easy to adjust to Kerala lifestyle .Really curious to know where you planning to retire since I am close to retirement life too.

Madam Both sons r in US. I understand ur points very well. My children r struggling in US n I don’t want to be a burden to them. Hence I vl take care of myself n husband in Kerala itself. I am also confident of facing future bravely alone. Planning to shift to retirement home when need arises❤
I don't understand how parents become a nuisance to their children, unless the parents are really bad. No good parent who raised their children well, will be a burden to them, rather their presence and companionship is a big blessing and a peace of mind for them. They are a support and guide to lead the younger generation. That is my observation. If you feel that you are a burden, then it might be because you aren't that close to him and can easily be replaced.

I am also in your situation. I am a disabled person like your husband. Struggling in USA and praying to GOD to show a way to proceed further. Go back to Kerala or continue here. If you happen to know a good place to live please let me know. It's is very expensive here. Praying and searching for a comfortable place to spend rest of life. Better go back to Kottayam and live there with a home nurse. Some home nurses do necessary cooking and other household work also. My brother is icing like that these days. He is happy .

I took care of my parents until their end with my girls watching. I taught them...what is family about and its the responsibility of the children's to take care of their parents...but i like to be independent but as a daughter once i was so troubled when my parents migrated to trivandrum to settle down.I had no peace of mind..i travelled every year n finally my hubby invited them both to settle down with us in Malaysia..they came and finally i was at peace...and thats what i call FAMILY
