Dear Krishna Prasad, I liked your presentation. It is comprehensive. What can we offer as a response? I think that is the elephant in the room. We know everything about addictive substances. We are brimming with knowledge. Why then we can not come out of addiction even if it is to caffeine? You correctly pointed out that it is a disease and it must be treated. My observation is that the treatment success is rare. To be very frank, I personally know of very very very few successes other than when things went rock bottom. I am sure you have watched Dr Kevin McCauley, author of " Pleasure Unwoven". The subject of addiction asks for deeper understanding of our species specific reality's struggles with the nature of reality. I am sad that many of the freethinkers just stop short of it. I have spoken this to many "seniors" and I have been let down by their response. I have now settled that there may not be answers. That is okay. If someone really want to stop the march of religion, we have to find an answer to this question. How can an addict be made "normal" - within two standard deviations, off course. eSense would only create ripples on the surface when undercurrents do determine the course of society. I request you to explore this. My sincere appeal. I wish eSense succeeds beyond crowds and "eagerness for The New" of middle class malayali.
