We have been using a 2w drive Major (mahendra jeep) for the last 15 yrs in Idukki. It is little difficult to go off road on slippery roads. (Jun to August) otherwise it can be used on normal off-road like plantations.

Congrats mahindra for introducing new variants of thar. 2 wheel drive will be a good option for people living in urban jungle but I think without four wheel drive thar is missing it's soul. I definitely want four wheel drive option in this macho vehicle.
