I agree to what Shajan said. I went to UK last year. I took loan from SBI by pledging my parents property. Did Part time job. Passed masters with high marks and got full time job in an IT firm. But i had 4 years of experience in IT to do this. I researched and found the course myself without any agency. I also had the will to work hard and drive to succeed. Students without experience in India will find it really hard to get into the job market here.

A lot of very good points discussed. When I was a student in the Uni back in mid to late 2000s my parents funded my fees but however when you see your mates ( white demography who starts work at 16 even if you are from aristocracy ) working you tend to do the odd jobs and understand the value of money along with dignity of labour ( in Kerala you say if you don’t study you will end up driving auto rickshaw- but here you learn driving auto rickshaw has dignity and now go look down anyone- which we keralites are famous for ) . Also, the biggest benefit for me was that as a 19-20 year old I learnt the art of multitasking - every single day is scheduled and planned .You have university lessons, then ur library course work, then go work and comeback again play sport and do your chores ( cooking, cleaning , laundry, ironing - there is no mummy and daddy to do it for you ) which to this day has benefitted me in being a responsible individual. I graduated with a merit, went on to do MSc Engineering with merit ( self funded ), years later an MBA ( funded by my workplace) - class topper and best Post graduate enterprise student and then eventually working towards my PhD (fully funded by ERDF) while being employed in a C suite position and have my own entrepreneurial interests along with research publications in 4* journals. One must see university as an Avenue to enhance skills, develop more skills- if you can’t do it then you will fall behind the pecking order- the academic faculty are academic and practice based professionals whom one can benefit. This comes from someone who interviews candidates in final rounds and oversees a talent acquisition wing in the organisation I work with. The mentioned places from the audio clip- Middlesbrough, Sunderland are hubs of Englands engineering and manufacturing ( Nissan Uk employees over 20,000 people directly and another 15,000 through supply chains - along with in my knowledge over 60 -70 other American and Japanese firms). So the awareness of the person in the audio is highly debatable. Also, the general awareness of our people in other sectors other than health care is below par- which I think the current crop of people extends to the students as well. My biggest advise to new aspirants is to use the facilities in the Uni, work closely with the faculty, engage with the employment centre, finesse a CV with them, apply for internships, earn work experiences and then you may have a much better chance in the job market One needs to have a tunnel vision and personal goals- there is no substitute to hard work , self motivation and drive !

I used to apply for 100 jobs per day of which 10 may call u, of which u may land one interview and one may have to attend multiple interviews before cracking one. Even attending interviews is an art, a lot of self reflection and self analysis ! One can always can it dint work but what are the lessons you have learnt from the interview is what matters.

This is the exact situation in Australia. I live in Sydney and I’ve seen a lot of students coming here lately! And they all work in restaurants and also do cleaning jobs(inc. cleaning toilets) to pay the high rents. After they complete their studies, they struggle to get PR, without which they don’t get a good job as well. I know students who study different courses after their degree just go stay back in Australia on student visa.

I from here prayed and prayed to change her mind .. At last got chances in good company to do internship..from there also got good salary..within 1 month after completing course she got job in MNC in berlin .niw she is very happy Getting good salary..she said she had sent 150 application. But luckly 3 rd one selected her .1st and 2nd are waiting her to take interview 3 4 steps.. She tried very hard to get job..she was worrying much if job didnt get how much lakh will lose..more than anything Blessing from God help one to attain the goal...praise the Lord ..

Sir, The biggest problem is that, “ask students how many people are well enough to talk or at least capable to understand British accent”. If not how they gonna get a part time job! Majority of people from India whom here for studies haven’t cleared preliminary English criteria like IELTS. UK government tries to gather lots and lots of money from international students to maintain there economy. There are many people from Kerala have successfully maintains there firm occupational status even while at the time of their studies as well as after.
I live in UK for past 2+ years and working in IT. You are entirely wrong about language issue. If you can understand and speak English very well, you will be able to understand any English accent in 1 year. Even including myself I still don't understand when they speak in pure accent and I never went for an IELTS course as well, the only effort should do when you don't understand is to ask them "Sorry, can you say that again pls". Yes it's hard to get job in UK, but I personally know some people who came as student dependant, student etc getting sponsrship visa and £50,000/year (around 50 lakh) salary package. It's the effort and hardwork that takes.

Thats exactly why majority of students expats from India despite of being qualified, end up in Care homes and warehouses. Btw asking 'Sorry' every now and then interrupting the speaker makes them super annoyed atleast occasionally.
@@Fyz_z If language would be an issue only English people would have job in UK. I work at a Cybersecurity company in UK and I never have spoken english prior coming to UK. My team mates are polish, italians, south africans, Dutch, from singapore etc. And you should hear how these guys speak english ( some speak worse than us Indians speak ), some don't even understand what the other guy says. But everytime this happens, we ask them to repeat what they have said and they usually do it because that's how it is in UK. The only thing it's really difficult to develop and understand is with jokes. I mostly don't get it when they say jokes. And I am repeating what I said previously if you stay in UK for a year you will start understand their slang, it's the extreme slang which might be more difficult. The best place to learn their slang is going to restuarants, speak to them, order food by self. And have a confidence, don't just slide behind your friends when you have an opportunity.
@@rjk08 I've been in UK for the past 3yrs or so. I am aware of the scenario. Whats my take is, unless one have a pretty strong English communication ability, they are gonna struggle terribly to cope up with British accent. If that wasn't the case every single previous gen Srilankan and Romanian would've been speaking fluently as that of any native English speaker, as they were here since several decades. Unfortunately it's the other way around.

One common mistake these students make is when they choose the course, try to do in which you've experience or have passion on. I remember some students asking me have you heard about this course etc, which even UK born students never heard of. Another thing which Marunadan also mentioned is to have some experience prior coming to UK, else you will be treated as a graduate is really tough for a graduate job here.

Great video Mr. Zachariah and well explained in details. I am well settled in Australia and had struggle life at the beginning. However I will say India is the one of the best country in the world, but you will not realise that until you don't live in other countries. Yes western countries give wealth and independence if you are a smart workaholic, otherwise struggle life especially for new arrivals and students.

She self done all alone . from sending application up to reach at Germany . My daughter compleated 2 years MS engineering in 2021 september ..she attended 3 4 companies interview before compleated the course since september.. next month in . October 2021 she got job in one if the MNC In Berlin .. And in December she got work permit also .. But student who are smart efficient good communication skill In english only selected..or get job . Within a stay back period if the student didnt get job she or he should be return to own nation... If didnt get job soon after compleated course parent should sent money for pay accomidatiom rent and for living expences... Minimum should sent 60000 rs per month....it is not easy for parent monthly sent so huge amount So smart student only try to go.... Otherwise if bank loan take for study abroad cant settle the loan .. May be burden to parent.. If a student get chances to do intern ship in good company will get good stipend ....my daughter got aprox. 1.5 lakh during internship..per month. This amount can use during the stay back time for accomodatiom and living expences for few month.. My daughter got job within 1 month so she could save that amount in bank.. .. .she needed only 4 lakh as personal loan . She could pay that amount within 6 months in 2022 itself. . And came to India last month and returned to Germany in first week this month ..she had to paid 23 lakh for compleated the course..in Germany good accomodation available with 300 Or 400 euro .. Means between indian rs 28000 32000..one should have good financial asset before take desicion. . Whichever country you are choosing, choose the course from their shortage occupation list, to get visa/job/permit. It would be published in their government website. Gain few years of experience after these courses would be ideal for those who are going for masters program 🤝

It's TRUE. Unless one can afford to send kids without any financial constraints and problems it is very difficult to sustain. We were told by agents( a very reliable agency ) it would be 32 to 35 lakhs. But we have already spent more than 48 lakhs.And many more months to go. Other than fees there are varied other university payments. So be careful. We could afford it and always wondered how children on loans were managing . Living expenses are very very high now.

Mr. Shajan, in fact from my own personal experience, I would advice all such parents seeking to send their kids to UK for studies, unless you are comfortably rich to bear the exorbitant costs and your ward is far below in academic grades that he or she may find no place in Indian universities, or US , Australia etc, never send your ward to UK for higher education. Way back in 2000, my son passed out from a reputed Karnataka University in Chem Engg with good grades. He wanted to study further in US, got admission to two Univs but due to certain domestic issues, could not proceed. Applied to Australia and got ok for admission to Bond and Griffith Univs. He had applied for UK also and joined Sheffield University. He passed with good grades. Wanted to work there for a while so as to clear the loan we had taken and sought a good opening. Sadly, UK couldn't get him a reasonable position in his chosen field. He did a few temporary assignments and tried hard but the job market didn't work his way. After three years, quite disgruntled, he preferred to return to India and joined a US company in South India . The only plus point was, he managed to save enough to return the bank loan in time before returning to India. His class fellow, a very mediocre student, who in the mean time proceeded to Australia managed to study there, secured a good job, work there, established well there in Govt service and now is an Aus Citizen, married and settled. comfortably. So, in comparison, UK must be a choice far far below , unless one gets a Rhodes Scholarship to Oxford or Cambridge.

When I arrived in 2009, due to my experience, I was selected as a Store Manager in a Telecom firm. 2000 Pounds a month easily. But I denied the job as I arrived to do my MBA. I found decent jobs in the tough job market after studies. It is a tough market and you are competing with high standard candidates. So if you can lift yourself up into a good level go. Otherwise stay as I see majority suffer. Also its pointless to stay long term even if you get 10000 pounds in a month. Half goes as tax and NI and after that living expenses. Add to that climate issue. You will understand why sun is important after 3-4 years. Sun rises only for 3-4 hours from October to March, in the land that is portrayed as " Sun never sets"

Parents dream children willl get lakhs and lakhs salary when get job in Western country and monthly send huge amount to pay loan and also they can lead lyxurious life here....they never think how risk it is study abroad and get job.visa and work permit . Children should do everything self even cooking.. Should do all house hold works shoping cooking studying do part time job for own expence search company for do interrnship..accommidation where get in low rent at last find job in best company ..to retain the huge lakhs spent for compkeating study . May not be anyone to help them.. Very risky effort it is ..childen should suffer much...to get a good job
Dear parents who are trying to send your children to UK or any other countries in the world. Please let them complete their education in Kerala or in India. An educated person can easily get a better job abroad. Education in the Medical field is excellent, example; Doctors, Nurses, speech Therapist, Physical Therapist, Pharmacist , Engineering, Air Conditioning etc. The main difference between the education in the Medical fields and the other fields are, you can easily get employment visas, if you have enough education in the Medical fields. But if your education is in the other field including CA ( CPA) you have to marry some one abroad to get the Visa. But once you get the Visa, it is very easy to find a job . I have been living in America for the last 50 years. Get the maximum education in India, then go abroad. It is my humble advice to you. Dr. Rajan
In your previous vdo, i commented that my friend who did MS and spent 60 lakh and completed her study and joined back india with her previous company with her same previous position as she didn't get job some so called people commented on msg as am a lier. Let me clear that i said she spent 60 lakh. I didn't say it is total One year education fee. She was staying in a rented apartment with friends and even she travelled two times to india within 1 yr 4 months. Moreover it was her 8 yrs saving money. Once she told me, she spent approx 60 lakh. My request to friends here, take the positive side of the vdo. If you get scholarship and good college, go ahead and study. Don't your parents hard earned money just sake of your dreamy World.
If she took loans, add the Interest too. Some don't want this to burst due to various reasons. It's just business for them in UK. The psw is just a carrot for them to enter.
@@dheerajmohan she didn't take any loan , and parents money too. She worked for 8 yrs, earned well and went for MS. Completed the study, back to India and now working and taking care of her parents too.
