Doctor Tany… I so love your lecture today. We never got taught Sleep Cycle in school. Today I learned what goes on in the brain during the different stages of Sleep Cycle. How N3/N4 stages of the NREM (slow wave) deep sleep is regenerative and essential to waking up feeling refreshed and energized. How a person who got wakened up at this stage (N3/N4) of sleep can be disoriented. Also, why it is important to keep your Power Nap to no more than 20 minutes. I learned that it takes about 90 mins after you fall asleep before REM sleep starts. And that your HR and BP can spike up, your breathing becomes fast, and your muscles relax to the point of paralysis during REM. Also love that you explained how hormones and neurotransmitters help to regulate circadian rhythms and sleep patterns. I do have questions but I’m going to save it for tomorrow. I’m celebrating World Sleep Day by going to bed. NOW. Lol To all, to each, a fair good night. Have a sweet slumber ka Doctor Tany! 🌎💙😴💤🧚🏼🛌🧸
