You are right my sister! It’s good to realize that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. When you leave your own country and go elsewhere, be prepared for the ride. But, if you are mentally strong individual you will succeed.
My unsolicited advise to you. Buckle up to work. And by "work", I don't mean the kind of laid back work you are used to in Ethiopia. And start college after you saved some money while working. If you have family here that will help you while you go to school, start college as soon as you can. But like I said if you have nobody to you can fall back on, work hard for minimum 1 or 2 years and save money, they go to college while still working. And be careful of the law, Don't ever get arrested for anything at all, because you can get deported over some silly stuff.
It's my first time to join in ur channel...and I appreciated ur ideas but i think it doesn't matter if someone know the all reality before going to US or if they face different challenges they may become depressed but they didn't get enough courage to return back to zre home country.. this the reality !! here in Ethiopia life is too expensive we are struggling even to fulfill our basics need.... we can't feed ourselves and families so whatever happened in US still they know it's far far better than ethiopia.
I studied in 🇸🇪 and worked in 🇩🇪 before moving to the USA. For me one of the best countries I have ever seen and lived in. Maybe I am biased as I came here as an Employee of an organization. I was making 10600 ETB per month in Ethiopia in 2015 as a lecturer. I was making 45000 Euros per year in Germany as a researcher in 2016 in the US I am making more than triple in Germany per year as Software Engineer. So it actually depends...
America has two sides if you have a goal you will achieve it but you ha e to work hard until you meet the goal. It depends how fast you are and how manageable you are. Above all this your status also matter. If you have a Green card definitely you will achieve your goal but you have to work and study at tge same time which require sacrifice. If you maintain that you will achieve. As an Ethiopian we don't use working or have that kind of life. We have plenty of time to give for our self so when we come here it will be a long road for us to go in the system. Other foreigners their dream is one and one achieving what they need, house or school and being professional or bussiness person. They will dedicated to the full extent and get what they want. So the big difference is the way we get in the system quickly or not. Forget what professional we have in Ethiopia and work and get a way inorder to move to the next chapter

It's good idea but when someone came to this country he can not finish his documentation process with in one month it takes to 2-3 months at least and to find a job maybe it takes 3-4 months most of the time.
