If you control the media, you control the truth. If most don't have the full picture, the ones who do are left to fend for themselves. It's all a numbers game. Most politicians have used numbers against us, whether it's money or people.
He and AOC are 2 of the worst Socialists serving in the Senate or House. Neither of them ever get any of their ideas passed by Dems or GOP. Socialism just doesn't work.
It's really hard to feel any sense of pride in this country when our government prioritizes private businesses' profit over its own people's well-being. It's shameful.
@@goldpilgrim What type of insurance? Liability for hospitals? And there are other issues. Technologically driven diagnosis and testing for one, and relentless upgrading of EMR systems.
Where does All that Money Go ? Hospital Owner, Legal Dep;artment ( Cheat um dept, ). Blood Sucking Administrators, Dept. Chairs.. Unions. MD's(specialists ) ---- The Public Comes Last. We are just The Cattle .
It would be funded through taxes so when yo go you dont pay anything out of pocket. The taxes would still be much less than then out of pocket expenses and debt that racked up.
Our life expectancy in the US is lower than other developed nations due to obesity and high blood pressure from high sodium low nutrient foods loaded with high fructose corn 🌽 syrup. Cancer is linked to high obesity rates. Healthcare coverage affordable can directly be linked with the US Corporations outsourcing and moving of the manufacturing jobs to Mexico, China and other off shore countries. Jobs Americans used to have to support their families with good healthcare coverage have long been sent away to line the corporate CEO’s pockets and pay share holders. We are our own worst enemy. John Deere is one of the latest. Globalization has been very hard on the working class and middle America. All seems Un-American doesn’t it. 😢
All of the above can be controlled by one self, some do and are healthy , some choose to ignore healthy habits and end up with problems, ask the 90 plus lady what her secret is she won a marathon running against the younger generation made headlines some years ago , what we put in our bodies do have consequences.
Singapore's system is more privately funded than the US and it costs less than nearly every single payer system. There isn't a correlation between per capita healthcare costs and the percent of healthcare spending that is public. Who pays for it is irrelevant. There is NO evidence single payer systems reduce the costs of providing healthcare.
Yep. I'm 63 and have a mortgage. Chase bank would put me out on the street if I got cancer and had to undergo treatment if my insurer didn't pay at least 90%. From what I've seen from my insurer, I would get slapped with some serious bills, or pay my deductible several times as it restarts each year at $3000.
Don't buy homes! Keep your savings in cash and gold. That 'll make you immune to creditors. Then you won't need an insurance. You'll get the treatment anyway.
@chillwill5080 It makes this even more meaningful that despite the fact that this problem doesn't affect him personally, he his still spending his time and energy speaking and fighting for the millions of people in this nation that the broken healthcare system does affect.
Bernies been in govt for decades, he's one of the guys who has NO answer. He blabbers on about the high costs. Newsflash Bernie, everything is expensive these days
Bernie has zero solution to the problem. Medical care Is expensive period. Catastrophic insurance is expensive. So whats a solution a 100 year bond for medical emergencies with people who may take on huge medical debts but actuarial tables say they will die within 2- 10 years. Reverse mortgages . Bernie is good at stating the ibvious with no workable solutions. I. Countries with universal healthcare, extraordinary care is rationed.
The US government already spends billions on medicare by subsidising insurance companies. Cut out the middle men leeches and pay for it directly. I would rather medical attention be rationed by need than by wealth.
Other countries have decent universal healthcare and their governments pay LESS per person than usa. Solution exists, it existed all over the world for 100 years. It has proven beyond a shadow of the doubt that it works. It's universal healthcare. But our government won't do it bc of the power of wealthy insurance companies and hospitals.
It's pretty simple. Centralized government health insurance. (State or fed) Single payer negotiation of medication pricing. Government run core healthcare facilities, hospitals and emergency clinics. Supplement by privatized specialist clinics with regulated prices paid by the Centralized health insurance. That is what Bernie wants and fights for.
