England is never one of the favorites. They never win and are never expected to win. They are self proclaimed favorites

How are half of those teams ahead exactly? Spain have no defence nor do Portugal and Germany have been shocking since 2018

I don't even think that's the main issue. Southgate, and even pre Southgate, England are just so negative when they play big teams. They go 1-0 up and try to shut up shop, even if there's 85 minutes left to play. Sitting back and inviting pressure from good attacking outfits simply doesn't work and it's shown time and time again. You can't give the likes of France, Spain, Germany, Italy, even the Croatias and Belgiums that much time to pin you back and constantly attack.

Best Portugal team of my lifetime. France, Germany, Spain all teams who have large domestic leagues have incredible depth. It's hard to find time to watch it all. England are strong but they have to play well teams are not bad. Watch and see. Serbia will cause problems England quality is great structure is bad. No balance. They could win I'd take France, Germany, Portugal ahead of them. No cutting edge like mbappe,leao, sane,to create balance in attack. All those guys have class replacements too.
