I don't think USC's interest suggests Tomlin is "on the hot set." I think it suggests they want to try for the best coach they can acquire from their "dream list." I think these guys are misreading USC's interest.

As a Bears fan, I'd love if Chicago fired Matt Nagy and hired Mike Tomlin.

Y'all are way too respectful of a guy whose only ring came with a team that another coach built, and who wasted the entire 2010's decade of Steeler football. There are plenty of reasons for Tomlin's seat to be just a tiny bit warm. Personally I wouldn't hire him for a college coaching job given that he seems unable to prevent grown men from acting like children, much less teenagers and young adults.

Coach Tomlin can stay with his team until he feels its time to retire. Dude did everything and he earn that right, like everyone else.

The reporter only asked the question bc Carson Palmer suggested that Mike Tomlin was connected to the USC job. Im not disputing what Tomlin said about Andy Reid and Sean Payton. People unfairly criticize him even though he has the same resume or better than Sean Payton and Andy Reid. There is a race component to him being even considered to be on the hot seat. He is one of the best coaches and people should treat him as such. Im just saying the reporter just asked the question bc Carson Palmer mentioned it.

I'm just here to remind everyone Mike went 8-8 with Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges as his starting QBs. The Steelers were 8-5 at one point, poised to make the playoffs when those bottom of the barrel quarterbacks crapped out and couldn't muster any offense.

Andy Reid and Sean Payton weren't asked about the USC job because Carson Palmer didn't mention their names on the Dan Patrick show a couple days ago. It's quite literally that simple. Mike has been disrespected since day one. One of the few coaches to stop the patriots who were one of the most dominant teams in existence.

I don’t care how people feel about SAS wanting a change at FIRST TAKE it was a good idea and good move to have different top analyst come on the show and talk sports instead of having max and SAS voice on every single morning. SAS is the dude so hearing his voice is a must even if you hate it. 🤝

I’m just here to say I am white, I’m a bigger Steelers fan than you are and I’m 53 so probably for longer too. I’ve played and coached at the high school and small college level. If coach T goes out any way other than on his terms it’s over. But I bleed black and yellow and clean it with my terrible towel. Nothing could be farther from reality. Coach Tomlin decides what happens in Pittsburgh.
