Sky News host Chris Kenny is joined by contributor Kristin Tate to discuss the tragic and horrific assassination attempt of former US president Donald Trump and the years of inflammatory rhetoric toward him from Democrats and the media.
"Democrats and many journalists have demonised Trump for years. They've consistently ratcheted up their rhetoric, especially as November's election looms," Mr Kenny said.
"Obviously, the person who carries the blame for the attempted assassination of Donald Trump is the gunman, but there has been a vitriolic environment created, with Trump on the end of an unprecedented level of hatred from the political left.
"Everybody involved in the political debate is responsible for the tone and the level of hatred and some of the language around this has been irresponsible."
