I'm an atheist too and I worked in a Catholic college. There were quite a few muslims there as they are all homophobic and were exempt from discussing other sexualities at the time (around 2010). The muslims do NOT respect Christians but they prefer them to atheists as they have a smidgen of respect for people who follow a ritualized faith....
