Indian muslims and Christian's are originally Indian Hindus by birth and the foreign preachers converted them by force or by providing with cash and kind.so indian non Hindus cannot reject or traditions of Hinduism Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life. There is no founder of Hinduism.

@@rajannair6020 according to some sociologists, today's dalits are not considered hindus. And then hindus are real minorities here in India. The way of life is undefined in any of the texts.

@@rajannair6020 there is no such thing as hinduism. politically its a grouping of non-muslims, non-christians and named so by the british. if raja ram mohan roy was the other '1st' to use this name , so be it. this 'way of life' is not uniform - each of the thousands of groups had their own ways and scriptures or just folk songs and worshipped nature - doesnt matter. as for conversion, besides the sword and the bible and bribes, lot of people persecuted by the caste system also converted to these besides buddhism.

Great introduction to Mr.Devdutt. Will read his books. It is interesting that RSS-BJP share economic ideas of communism. Ultimately, there are two axis of freedom- Social and Economic. The present regime doesn't give the people both. Neither we have Social nor Economic freedom. Politicians are experts at repeating mistakes. They don't realise that Freedom brings Lakshmi. I enjoy listening to Devdutt. In fact he interested or rather motivated me to know about scriptures. Well he cleverly demonizes Western writers to present himself as learned emphasizing his Indian identity while ignoring his lack of knowledge of Sanskrit and has based his analysis based on Western translation which is full of errors. Fortunately there are still lots of knowledgeable Sanskrit scholars who provides a different perspective but they ain't popular as they don't invest to market themselves. The most contemporary popular one currently is Sadhguru who has knowledge of both English and Sanskrit. I always cross check with Sadhguru to have a better perspective but I must add there even better scholars of scripture to challenge Patnaik perspective which will give you a 360 degree understanding. Sadhguru does not wear the hat of a scholar as his mission is completely different but he can easily give a much clearer perspective with clarity.

@@rishi_6266 Sadhguru is a very vague personality... Sometimes he is too political. In one video he said that he hasn't read the Gita.

@@zafarquadri4741 ....He claims to not have read many things but have deep understanding of Yoga science. In fact he says he rather loves reading comics like Asterics. Many Yogi mystics like Vivekananda has also been claimed as someone who don't have to read books but will have full knowledge of the book by merely touching it. Sounds very magical and unbelievable as I am a man of science but I have kept my mind open perhaps they have access to deeper dimension. I have brought a few books written by Sadhguru but haven't read yet. Apart from videos, Sadhguru app has several writing related to scripture and his analysis. I also wonder how he does that without reading scriptures. Food for thought.

@@rishi_6266 By touching a book someone learn it??? Ramanuja has left many theories unsolved. I think it is great to have a man who can learn by just touching it. He can solve all the theorems of Ramanuja by just touching the cover if the book. What do u think?

@@zafarquadri4741 What can I say? I have my own doubts but Ramanujan himself referred his knowledge was nothing but a flow of knowledge from his Devi who bleeds mathematics.
