Man his character is so sad. He's hates his body, he was betrayed by his own mother when he learn that she was the one who injected him with Comp V, he's never taken seriously, he's being treated as a joke, humiliated his whole life.

What he did with starlight is definitely wrong, but he actually did apologize and I believe that meant it, people overlook his problems, he hates his body, he just wants to be loved, but he’s afraid people will hate him for his body

The deep is so overlooked and made fun of and i honestly feel sorry for him. He can talk to aquatic animals so he can hear them pleading when they are dying. Like when butcher drove the boat through his whale. He honestly should have gone insane earlier with all that happened

You don't realize the meaning of 'TRAGIC' Just because nobody loves him because he is an ahole doesn't mean he is tragic. Forget that he had his octopus girlfriend that loved him truly and he killed her. He finds joy in killing and loves it , he loves being in a higher position and being the authority around. He anit no TRAGIC character. Please respectfully rethink the meaning.

First of all he is the only one of few true good characters remaining in the show. -His girlfriend died because of a Supe he adored. -His girlfriend Got SAted -His mother suddenly comes back to his life after all those years. -His father dies in one of the most saddest way possible (he accidently killed 3 innocent people) , he knows he was somewhat a reason for that even tho his mom is the one who did it. -He gets S*xually harassed in the next in the next episode. -He gets Rped in the rest of the episodes by a supe that resembles his girlfriend. After all that he remains intact and true to his morals. He isnt ruthless like butcher ,a leader like MM , a chemist like frenchie , dangerous as Kimiko or a Supe like Starlight. He is just a Normal good person who just wants to help and fix the ruins around him. And he faced the worse shi just by being 'A GOOD GUY'.
The way the characters in the boys treat the deep is so bad. He is not a psycho and has done terrible things that are not in the extreme. He apologised for the one thing he did terrible in and felt sorry. Idk Why starlight is talking she did fxcked up things worse than the deep did and she shouldn't be the one to run her mouth at everybody for how terible of a person they are. Starlight should help herself first. The deep fixed his mistakes and is now influenced and forced by homelander to do terrible things that him and a train dont want to do and they are scared.

@@Aep.AlexandersPeople hate The Deep because he’s the “joke character” people think “oh that’s the joke character, he doesn’t have anything serious going on, he’s not a deep character” (yes that’s a pun) so they don’t care, despite the show itself even showing him as a person who is heavily flawed but has trauma, he hates his body, hates the way he is, so he tries to humiliate other people so he doesn’t get humiliated, he even shaved his head as a way to punish himself, he’s more then redeemed in my eyes.

Well, A Train apologized to Hughie for what he did to Robin, and he did more terrible things but he redeemed himself, Deep had his chance but the writers decided to turn him into a joke and later a villain

literally one of the best written characters in superhero media, i expected them to just throw him away after he did what he did to starlight, using him as a plot driving character, but instead they kept working on him, making him a truly impressive and funny antagonist.
I'm honestly surprised they haven't done an episode where deep just walks into the ocean at the end of the episode and doesn't reappear for like 2 episodes and then we find out he just made like an Atlantis type place where he can be alone in peace
True they turned him back into a joke His redemption would‘ve been great but I guess he did a good job as a comic relief character too Chace is a pretty good actor

Me and deep are more alike then I thought were both alone in our on way And have a fucked up past Legit I’m like a emotional mixed of both homelander and deep and a train I just didn’t do what they did because I know it’s wrong
