In this video I do more upgrades to my Traxxas Slash 4x4 that I have dubbed the “100mph Traxxas Slash Project”. I install a Wheelie Bar, Foam Bumper, HD Steel Driveshafts, Tekno Center Driveshaft, and Aluminum Battery Trays.

It looks like ya may still be fighting the front bumper and the shell. Both on the Slash cause crazy lift. Learned that the hard way man...lol. Nobody's got more heart in a single project then you bro! That..is why you'll totally succeed! 😎 I still gotta faith!! You got this...

Im intrigued, have been for awhile, u got alot of money in this project...lol i think the drag set up and wheelie bar are gonna make all the difference, it shouldnt be able to lift now, cant wait to see the rest run video and the progress!

I think all those mods will make a big difference. You might think about putting some foam pads on each end of the battery tray to protect the ends of the battery in case it slides.

Amazing video!!! love the channel!. If those drive shafts don’t work for you try the tekno or techno rc drive shafts. They have been the best thing that have happened to my slash, they are absolutely amazing. I don’t know if they are any good for high speed runs, but they do take an amazing beating. Also if you keep facing the problem with the car not sticking to the ground, maybe a new body with a more aerodynamic shape will do better. Again I love your content and I’m just giving this advice from personal opinion and some experience, but either way Keep up the great work and have a great rest of the day!!.

I bet it can hit 100mph!!!!!, that wheelie bar looks like it will help a lot, great idea with adding another 6s battery to add more weight and balancing it out as well. Maybe you can get even do 3s on one side and 3s on the other.

Thank you for the recommendations! I’m hoping these driveshafts will hold up though! Ideally I would like to reach 100mph with a short course body, that’s my goal anyway

I myself would put a 3s pack on each side to keep your weight a bit more even side to side. Just a thought.

I know you said you want to go 100mph with the slash body. I think the slash front bumper is giving you a hard time catching all that air. I think you will do 82+. Good luck

The wheelie bar will work like a rubber band and it will launch it in the air .had that thing on a rustler it went 12 foot in the air I just knew a car would come and it was going through a windshield

@@RCKnockout Yes! Its made by proline and meant for the slash! But you do need the proline body mount kit, but then you can lower of raise the body.

The high speed stability problem that make your car flip over is linked to several issue: The high ground clearance is too high solution: lower it Additionnal weight has been added without increasing spring rate solution: put much stiffer springs To increase straight line stability here you can’t easily increase wheelbase but to compensate you can increase polar moment with the mass you add... for instance put added mass at the front and at the rear and your car will resist to flip over and side deviation (like a javelin ...) has you have added a wheelie bar in the rear add also some weight front
