Big was / is cold , has never left my rotation since “ 94 “ & now that I’m 42 years old I realize just how young 24 is , he was incredible. His verses are timeless & still sound so fresh. Can’t help but wonder how much he would’ve evolved if he hadn’t suffered such an untimely demise .
I think a lot of RnB and rappers from the 90s were 5 to 10 years older than their showbiz ages, even older. Showbiz has always lied about people's ages to make them more relateable to the youth.
Crazy thing is, Biggie Smalls was just a kid. 24 years old, had a daughter and he had the world in the palm of his hands. Plus, he died on my birthday March 9th. Also, hus vehicle was marked on the rim with the promo "THINK B.I.G." It's just sad man 😢
Biggie left a long lasting legacy and its why he is my favorite complete rapper of all time. Still to this day I compare his quality of music to others. RIP Notorious BIG 🤴🏿
@@tonyeloo7199 Everyone saids that Puffy forced him to go. To be honest? If I was Biggie I wouldn’t have gone over there, even if Puff release me from my contract.
ESPECIALLY KNOWING THAT BIGGIE WAS WAY OVER 6FT-TALL AND ABOUT 365.LBS.. I MEAN, "👉🏾BIG PROBABLY SMOKED WHILE ON HIS KNEES JUST TO MEET THE MIDGET HALF-WAY IN HEIGHT...🤷🏾🥱💯
Nah it wasn't on any noble shyt 😂 Puffy forced him to go B.I.G. was going to Europe 🙄 Known fact people of limited attention spans 😭🤧 Plus his ego was higher after Pac was dead. Can't say I blame him tho Pac was giving em all hell by himself 💯🔥🔥
Look when Pac got shot the first time biggie distanced himself from Pac and don’t tell me no he didn’t because you can’t change history and I’m sure that’s the reason Pac was suspicious of him Pac was Biggie friend and he helped Biggie with his career so there NO EXCUSES on why he couldn’t get in touch with Pac And when Pac went to jail shortly after Pac got shot biggie never communicate with Pac Also if you listen to biggie last album after Pac death it seems like he’s was taking shots at Pac like in the song love the dough jayz rap I’m at the mike Tyson fight but one person ain’t acting right ima let you tell it and it’s documented on Compton police report biggie was hanging out in the same hood in Compton who shot and killed Pac also the night biggie was shot hes IN LA at a party in the VIP section with same guys who killed Tupac while having a song saying I’m going back to Cali now I’m not saying they should’ve killed biggie and in not saying he set up Pac I’m saying he made poor choices because people are crazy
Man, Fredo was a big actor back in the 90s. Of course he would be all in the parties and kicking it with every celebrity. Love hearing these Pac and Big stories man. This dude prob got so many stories to tell. Some he probably might keep to himself for not exposing others. Glad you put him on the podcast. These interview are fuego 🔥
All of this💯 i remember how the atmosphere shifted when Tupac died. Then Big died. They took uncreated moments from us. They took creativity. Who knows what those YOUNG, very YOUNG, geniuses would have accomplished if they could have made it past 30. Most boys don’t turn to men until their late 20s early 30s. You mature. U could feel the grieving, sad energy was every where
Biggie could travel to Cali if he wanted but it was suge that was putting the word out with crooked lapd that they wanted Biggie out because of suges ego. DJ quik has some insight to this since he was beefingwith Biggie days before tragedy. RIP BIGGIE.
Suge had david mack and perez on payroll and working the night of the vibe party. Dj quik was hear saying they were going get one of those bad boy ninjas...
@@wnnfrhrw4452listen to the dossier on Biggies fbi files, suge was part it and the case is still open because Biggies legal can not sue while its still active.
Big own mother said "I told Christopher over the phone he shouldn't be there". At the end of the day Big made a choice to listen to Freaky Puffy and sadly cost him his life.
@DonnKeith in your opinion nobody compares to the background digital underground pamper wearing humpty dancing school of the performing arts ballet Shakespeare actin toothpick Shakur but in my opinion and a lot of real hip hop heads that knows what it takes to be a total mcee Biggie is the GOAT 🐐..He flowed effortlessly wit ease...Anything that you do regardless if it's sports music etc anything that is difficult to do and you make it look effortlessly that's greatness..Biggie made hits partying wit broads all around no pen pad just hear beat knod his head and go in booth and murder tracks..From 94 to 97 Biggie was on every station every rotation all day and nite .Pac who went from black evolutionist to so called thug is a poet he wrote his poems down then producers added tracks afterward plus pac struggled with his delivery..After the movie Juice pac saw how popular that character was in that movie so he then became Bishop in real life to sell records .His ego got put in check and his ego got hurt once real street cred goons whom he was warned by Biggie and Mike tyson were not good company and had rep on streets made an example out of him showing him that he was a studio gangsta not a real life one..Pac had smoke for any and everybody that was in the music industry but no smoke for dem real goons that took his jewelry and robbed him at Quad..Pac was nothing but a real life motion picture actor in real life and he done his job becuz his fans to this very day thinks he was the hardest gangsta rapper of all time. AND believe me Biggie came up battle rapping on the meanest streets in NY where hip hop was originated .If he wanted to respond to that BS hit em up he would have murdered pac and probably ended his music career but biggie didn't get into the industry for that he left the streets to make a better life for his friends family..Real Niccas move in silence at least the ones I know they don't walk around wit tatoos all over them advertising thugism or how hard they are they let their work speak for them..I do not own any pac music I will neva listen to any of his music lyrically he don't come close to Biggie
Suge had lapd david mack and rafeal perez on payroll and working the night of the vibe party. Dj QUIK was heard saying "they were going get one of those bad boy ninjas..." after the shooting....R.I.P. Biggie.
@@wnnfrhrw4452listen to the dossier on Biggies fed files, suge was part it and the case is still open because Biggies legal can not sue while its still active.
That was the government they knew Biggie was originally Pac friend and learned Militant behavior from him they wanted to eliminate all the Militant niggas that's why DMX career died early that's why 50 Cent career died early now you got nice law abiding negroes who are also sexually deviants like Puffy JD and Jay Z Master P wasn't with it either that's why the No Limit Empire died so sudden mannnnnn its a purpose with everything
@@khamalaj6001 I've listen to that. Again, Suge Knight has been incarcerated, even on full lock down, at The Time. Suge Knight simply is a scapegoat. Even Detective Russell Poole has both recognized and publicly acknowledged this, especially before Russel Poole's death.
Bro dis got 2 b 1 of best interviews thus far I don’t be tuned in but dis 1 caught me!! Shout 2 da bro Fredro Starr he certified stamped Legend 4real !! Queens Onyx 💪🏾💯
Pac was kinda wild and seemed to have a death wish kinda looked like he was crashing out. But Biggie seemed like a cool cat he didn’t deserve to go out like that he wasn’t really wilding out in the street anymore
True but I feel like he did sense something was gonna happen especially with that paranoid interview where he says people want to kill him or his eerie death lyrics.
BIG was on crunches with a broken leg from a car accident. He never wanted to go to LA. He told Diddy, riding on a plane would be uncomfortable for him. Diddy convinced him to come so he can attend the Grammy After party. He was in New York recovering. Rap would be different today.
Naaaaaw Bro; Pac & Biggie were #Dope, but Eazy E didn’t normally write his own raps & Ice Cube/D.O.C wrote the majority of his rhymes!! (This Is A Known Fact) We still had AZ, Nas, G.U.R.U, BIG L, BIG Pun, Krumbsnatcha, Royce Da 5’9, Wu-tang, West Side Connection, 50 Cent, Em, bruh the 90’s didn’t lose anything; We Still had a gang of dope artist to name a few off the dome!!
@@SwaggSkillz1992 however without the influence of Eazy, there would be no 2Pac nor Biggie. Whether You Agree With Me Or Not, E Alongside With the rest of the Hip Hop Artist & Pioneers of the 70s & 80s started this.
Puffy put Big in harm’s way. There’s no way else around it. Bro could barely even walk and was out in the worst place for him to be in America at that time, with minimal protection. Big shoulda been nowhere near LA…
Biggie was a GROWN man and contributed to this! Shii he STARTED it when he dropped “Who Shot Ya” right after Pac got shot. He was “Ready to Die” remember? Yall blame EVERYONE else accept him lol Puffy didn’t write the lyrics dissing Pac, BIGGE did that! Puffy couldn’t make him go to LA…He had a whole skit Big “Cali Whoa” Puffy “yeah we gotta get this paper” BIG “YEAH NO DOUBT” 🤔 Shows you he knew it was dangerous “ Ain’t no love lost, dead up in the hood PAPPA AIN SOFT” 🤔 TF do yall be talking about 🤦🏽♂️🤣
@@New-hc4qd I don't disagree with anything you said except it was PUFF who dropped "Who Shot Ya" and I believe HE did it strategically with Pac's situation in mind. Your right tho, Biggie didn't have to decide to go to LA. He had a family to take care of though, and at the time, I think he really needed the money.
All these stories he recounted on different interviews and retold them the same way. No lies in this man. I remember him discussing that Shyne shooting before
It’s crazy how many ppl told Big the same thing right while he was in LA. On Sunday morning when it was confirmed I remember Angie crying on the radio and going outside and seeing so many people in tears so many of us grew up seeing Big on the Ave on some regular shit on your way to the store Or the train and to see him become one of the greatest… his death hit different. Even our pastor had to tell the youth to pull it together during his sermon ..how we were crying and looking like sad puppies during service.
Real talk i was in high school when i heard big passed. It was so real they said over the loud speaker you heard girls screaming dudes yelling "hell no" dam near half my class just got up and left. #RipBig
96 and 97 is the exact time frame that the Exodus of Real Rap started it's exit stage left with the Deaths of 2Pac Amaru Shakur And Christopher Wallace 😔 May God have mercy on there Souls , it's still Sad When you think about What you were doing and where you were when you heard your favorite rapper Was killed Back in the day R i p to Rap music 😔
After Big Jake and pac died someone from bad boy had to die at that points suge was going to retaliate and them being in LA was the perfect spot it is crazy how the bad boy camps were so reckless.
I think if it was up to Big he wouldn't be out there at the end of the day Puff made the decisions. From the stories I heard Puff was holding him hostage in LA if he didn't come he wouldn't get paid thats a tough decision to make especially when you have two kids. Puff didn't have his best interest at heart which was evidenced by what transpired that night.
