alt title would be liam n primsy flirting like the awkward teens that they are, also! s/o to the people who made the transcript! i was too lazy to type my own captions this time round and they're a life saver!
Which is wild considering she’s the only character in Calorum with inorganic anatomy. If you really think about it she’s basically a disabled person wearing a Darth Vader suit to keep her alive.
@@strawberries_0462 I’ve always thought that the glass is their skin and bones and the liquid is their blood Almost as if the glass is like an exoskeleton
"I saw you shoot someone 3 times in the head and then do a full swan dive off the side" has me rolling with laughter, the mental image is so vivid for me
That whole arc was what completely convinced me how great D20 actually is. It showcases very organic character development that wasn't written in advance but happened on the fly. And it touched on so many heavy themes too. The effect grief has on people, how betrayal changes seed guys into war guys, the whole revenge obsession. And to think all of that felt so real, despite the fact that the whole campaign is centered around sentient candy and fruit and loaves of bread and bottles of milk.
I love that Liam is basically “what if you had to speed run becoming the Punisher?” Like yeah, that person would be unstable, terrifying, and occasionally hilarious.
Primsy was just such a well done character. She's so innocent and naïve but every time she says something it's for a purpose. King Amethar and co were still technically prisoners of the Dairy Islands at the beginning of this clip, comfortable prisoners perhaps, but prisoners all the same. Primsy's first sentence was structured to be formal and proper, while also throwing out any thought to them all still being prisoners. "...invite the Royal House of Rocks, Sovereigns of Candia to a parlay...". They were not the royal house of Candia, they had been stripped of all titles and claim to their lands, but that only carries as much weight as other countries are willing to give it. by labeling them the royal house of Candia and Sovereigns of Candia, Primsy is telling them that House Cheddar is not and will not be upholding the church's proclamation and is in fact rejecting it.
You will only be more pleased by watching the campaign. The head of the church is a broccoli named Elizabeth Brassica (the plant broccoli is from). The bread empire is called Ceresia (like cereal). The aging emperor Uvano is a grape man, and when they meet him he’s a raisin. Also the empire he started operates under rules called the Concord… meaning that Emperer Uvano is literally A CONCORD GRAPE.
Liam's arc in a crown of candy was the most intense. The ship battle is so iconic, imagining this little peppermint boy going ultra nightmare with a crossbow under the cover of darkness.
I wonder if Brennan was trying to push the love interest on Liam in order to stop their whole "John Wick" revenge quest cause Liam came in like the Babayaga this season.
i do like to think that brennan planned from the beginning that primsy and liam would get together, from her giving him the little handkerchief and making him her champion during the trials. and brennan knew from the beginning that stilton was gonna be bad and primsy being the same age as liam. it all felt like that was the ground work to their relationship, yknow? sorry if this doesnt make sense i just think their relationship is very cute lmao
I think he intended to set up an interest there but didn’t expect them to actually save her life. From what has been shared of the behind the scenes of Crown of Candy, Brennan fully expected things to go way worse and grimmer than they did, and they kept managing to get the best possible outcomes
@@luisvalenzuela9967 After nat 20-ing to punch thad's pit out and that entire fight on the ship, I can definitely understand why he would have a thought of "Oh fuck, I gave the nat 20 machine a peppermint batman."
Can we talk about how fucking good Brenen is with story telling that you can have these hilarious moments followed by immensely tender, soft, somber sad moments. Truly, "a spell is just a spell, a true wizard turns a spell into magic."
His Primsy voice reminds me of his Cathilda from Fantasy High. Not identical but similar and they both make me smile so much. Like he definitely makes Primsy sound more young and girlish and Cathilda more maternal and mature (or deadly depending on whom she’s speaking with- Sophomore Year on Leviathan, I’m looking at you), but either way, really well done!
Crown of Candy is the name of the champaign, not sure if all of it is on RU-vid Dimension 20 / drop out tv? website should have full season if you subscribe
Its not expensive. Its like 5 dollars a month? But SO much content, even beside the dnd they have multiple other shows But generally they have several campaigns and brennan is a god of DMing, theyre all so enjoyable you watch it like a TV show rather than a board game The way they play so naturally causes them to really get into it, like they actively cry of sadness when something bad happens but also usually they cry from laughing, its really great
