3 first round picks and Mickael went in the 2nd and got minutes for the Knicks. Only one didn't go to the league and that was Logan even though he was 1st team All American but broke his ankle prior to the workouts for the draft.
I concur.... I was in high school doing the same thing. They was ranked #1 his senior year. If I'm not mistaken he broke his leg that first round of the NCAA tournament.... it must wasn't met cause that was they year! Loved huggy bear style of coaching...
So your around 36 then I'd bet because I would do the same thing in the 6th grade. I'd rush home to watch Cincy play and if Martin didn't get hurt they'd have won the tournament for sure.
I was at UC during that time. If not for his injury in the Conference USA tournament...they were final 4 bound. They had 3 first round draft picks that year.
The fact that Kenyon used to coach my older brother and watch Kenyon Jr grow up into being an elite stud currently makes me feel old. I was in the 5th grade when Kenyon coached my brother in the summers! 🔥

K Mart was a straight monster back then. He would intimidate enough guys now imo. At the very least frustrate 🤣 I miss those get under your skin earlier 2000s games haha when you watched the highlights for basketball and not a social media presence or anything
Thule Huggins are legends in Ohio. Charlie was Bobs father and ran a camp called eastern Ohio basketball camp. It was a team camp. Teams from all over played there. It was the most basketball I played in three days ever. At 17 I could barely move in the morning.
I'm an life long bearcat fan. Huggins days were the best. Kmart my favorite bearcat. When the forces Huggins out it was heart breaking and they have never been the same. I've stopped paying attention to em n college hoops altogether in the last few years. Real bummer.

Y’all will never truly understand. Hugs completely changed the paradigm as relates to college ball. He gave folks a chance that no other school would. He built his teams with the folks others would write off. Then they canned him using a temporary replacement employee under the guise of social progress. This is how dangerous it can be to go against the status quo.
What fights did he get into? I remember Oakley, Mason, X-Man, Mahorn and a bunch of other guys getting in fights. Don't remember seeing any fights Kenyon got into...were they Bar Fights or something?
