This is where the system fails women and children. This woman put herself at physical risk (not to mention the emotional damage) to protect her children. She darent seek help because of the fear they would take her children from her. I’ve seen it happen with my sister who was in a relationship very similar to this one. She was too scared to leave him because he threatened to kill her children and my parents. She involved police and social services came along and destroyed her

I've been through the same as your sister. I stayed with my ex to protect my family and my daughter. He said he'd kill all of them and then himself if I broke up with him. When I eventually did do that he came to my mothers house and kicked down the door while she was minding my daughter and he broke the phone so they couldn't call for help. My mam locked herself and my daughter in the bathroom until police came. He's in prison but when he gets out he will do the same again if I don't speak to him. This time I will not get back with him but that means he's going to keep coming and trying to hurt all of us. It's like being in prison myself.

He has learnt the abusive behaviour and with that you can go one of two ways, you can either copy that behaviour and continue it throughout your life. Or, break the cycle and do the opposite! Make sure you never raise a hand to anyone and love with all that you have ❤

i did 16 yrs in a dv marriage, been free 7 years , i have 4 children, the judge ruled him & his family never to see us again , i can hear the pain in her voice reliving it , my one son has fk be homeschooled he can't leave the house , the ptsd has totally taken so much from him , in school children in high school should be given a talk by a victim, as like me i never knew what a stable relationship was , they should be taught the red flags 🚩 of abusers , could save one person it would be worth it , just remember if someone loves you , they will never cause any upset or harm to you , there is support out there i promise,i will continue working on mine & the children's lives but the damage done i can't begin to tell you the damage done , reach out ❤

Im so incredibly sorry you went through all of that. Thank God you're still here to even talk about it. I know you said your baby was ok at the time but please be aware that even though that may have been true physically speaking, what was done to you would have caused trauma to your baby as well. I truly hope you have been able to build a better life for you and your little ones. Take good care and God bless 💞

I was in prison with him while awaiting to be sectioned due to a massive breakdown but got put there for my own safety. He would always ask me for my quetiapine (anti psychotic drug) and would always tell me I needed to unalive, and would call me “r*tarded and call me other things.

See this is another reason I dont agree with women getting too big because it does knock confidence and allow shit like this to happen 😢 I don't agree with ppl like Lizzo promoting it because she would be exactly the same in a relationship guarantee...not to mention serious health issues it causes too ..I was the fat girl in the group growing up and I get kinda what she means with the whole no respect for yourself thing..I'd sleep with men thinking aw they'll like me then but I was being used... dv relationship r so hard to get out of and stay out of ..they have a hold over u like no other...
