I feel like The Button actively tries to drive a wedge between people who are vibing, so they get better content and don't actually have to pay for any dates.

that guy heard that a woman had kids and immediately asked if she hit her kids, admitted to believing in beating kids, all while his conversation is being played for the people in the other room that were his potential dates, and then was surprised when he got rejected. Even if he had managed to press the button first, there was no chance that it ended with him getting a second date.
