I don't agree with it. However, they did not have enough evidence to charge and convict him. Had he not waived his right, he may have not been convicted of the felony. He was up to something, yes. But without any further evidence, they had to let him go. :/

Hansen needs to watch his mouth. He tries to punk these guys on camera to make them look like they're sick and have no lives coming to meet young women, but in this math tutor's case he was just doing a wellness check because he feared that she might have let a grown man who could harm her into her house. He came over to alpha male the situation and was prepared to scrap. Fortunately, she was safe. He's a tutor for 8th grade math students, so he felt obligated to make sure she was safe going into HS.
That's also his alibi, if he finds one he can just say that he was looking out for the child's wellbeing, if he finds none he can do his sick things. Didn't work out like he expected though lol.

Honestly if he lawyered up he would have won this case easily, this is entrapment and they probably pay the people they catch off because this entire show is illegal . They would eat Chris Hansen alive in court. I’m not defending the pedophiles but they honestly probably pay the pedos off cause if they didn’t, they’d sue the pants off the show. And also the pedos are almost always signing away their right the only can do that if they agree not to get a lawyer. So from what I can put together from that is they agree to accept a Payne instead of getting a lawyer and suing the show. If I were these guys and knew my rights I’d sue the pants off the police department, this show, and the name of the predator watch force. Because this is violation of someone’s rights and it’s not fair. Yea pedophiles are so disgusting but you have to remember that this show has so many legality issues that people don’t think about.
