When Souness went to work for Irish TV it was eye-opening. We all had this wrong image of him as a bit anti Irish because he was ex rangers n proud of it.....but he was such an amazing pundit....very fair, frank and so insightful...that he quickly won the hearts of the nation... He also was amazed with what he could get away with saying on Irish TV which was more free flowing than in the beeb or itv. I also remember him as the only pundit to question the trappatoni appointment for Ireland. Dunphy as usual jumped on the bandwagon much later. Great guest n very touching in the end

Was a Mufc season ticket holder for years but i have the utmost respect for Graeme and what he achieved at Liverpool. I think he's the best player they have ever had. When Liverpool was dominant in Europe for about 5yrs, it was Graeme that conducted the Orchestra, the whole team revolved around Graeme. Total respect

As a Rangers fan I could be called biased however the thing about Souness is, he’s consistent, he has thought about his ideas and opinions and you know where you stand with him. His recent work with that little girl Isla and the charity overall is commendable. Souness could take the hardest of tackles but that little girl breaks him in two every time he talks to her. Great interview, great man.

Fascinating, well done to you, Simon and Graeme.👏 However, it was way too short. For my liking. Simon, maybe you could schedule another episode with Graeme at some point? He has a very storied career. More details on his playing days and those that played alongside him. And also more information about his challenges as a manager, would be interesting and justified. Graeme, if you happen to read these comments, I urge you to try and stay in football media. I’ve always found you interesting and value your opinions. Please don’t disappear! I was a kid in the 70s and like all my mates could be seen walking around with a fistful of Panini cards and your moustachioed Face was always one that I remember. And all the great achievements of the Liverpool sides of that era, going into the early 80s. Well done Graeme.👍

I watched many games when he was manager and despite the sun story, always supported him. He did inherit an ageing team though contrary to what he said, the team won the league in 1990 and he joined April 1991, and at the time were challenging for the league. He always admitted he made too many changes but people do forget he did also bring through some very good young players. A legend in every sense!

The world is a better place for people like Graeme Souness and honesty! I watched him as a kid and was amazed with his ability & natural leadership, he was my tutor as I learned the game by watching him. Fantastic interview Simon!🤙
