It's a reference to "birthday cakes". It's a vanilla-ish white cake with multi-colored sprinkles, (I think they're called "hundred & thousnads" in the UK). You can get Birthday cake flavored toothpaste, or Birthday cake ice-cream, or smoothies, breakfast cereal... The list goes on. I hope this helps. 😀

Hey now, we had to give up something for sleeping well at night knowing our country will not be attacked by another military. Universal healthcare is one of those things. We also like to have military overkill. We have more than one nuclear aircraft carrier for every two states that border the Atlantic or Pacific. And, those carriers are not for protecting our coastlines against invaders. Our coastlines are not fortified, except by the size of the Atlantic and Pacific.

@@K__a__M__I "Birthday cake" flavor for instance in a liqueur, often means a hint of sweetness & mild vanilla. Rarely see or hear of it, in real life. Always called "birthday CAKE" not just "birthday." In the rare & very unlikely event the topic came up, -it won't, -but if it ever did -perhaps perusing a drink menu w friends at a bar marketed towards very young adults, - it is something a very young adult might try once, & later, vaguely recall it tasting "okay." I suspect the lack of laughter was both due to the lack of popularity of the flavor, & the comedian's misuse of the term (dropping "cake") to force an improbable punchline... "birthday" by itself is ambiguous. As far as flavors go, it isn't ubiquitous, & while one may eat any flavor of cake, or no cake, on their birthday, the most generic store bought cake one might find, -such as for an office break room,- is probably a vaguely sweet white cake with mild vanilla.

@@K__a__M__I they’re called birthday cake or “funfetti” flavor desserts and they use imitation vanilla extract, yellow food coloring, and colorful sprinkles to resemble childhood birthday cakes. Imo it’s pretty good in a nostalgic sort of way

that stuff about flavours is for real. I'm from Michigan living in England and the drink options are quite limited compared to what we are spoiled with. Elderberry and blackcurrant are a crap substitute for grape, they may look the same colour but that is where the similarities end. Last cough syrup I bought with "linseed flavour" tasted like black liquorish and dishsoap

Often the audio teams producing these shows layer pre-recorded applause sound over the actual audience to make things sound more full-could be that they weren't able to do that with laughter the same way. I thought JJ was great and deserved a lot of laughs - I'm glad to hear from Robert that he was getting some!

Josh Johnson is one of the greatest comedians, only next to Bill Burr for me. I saw him for the first time here at Virginia Tech and I got instantly hooked. The level of observation, comeback, and delivery that he has is absolutely astonishing. His podcast The John Johnson show is THE FUNNIEST podcast out there. It is now my good night lullaby. Listening to him and Logan laughing against the silence of the night and me laughing hard with them is such a personal feeling. Thank you sir for being you! Absolutely love your work.

Seeing Josh and hearing Josh and simultaneously knowing The Daily Show has no permanent host, then realizing Josh lives there in that city: I'm like Comedy Central and J.J. have to realize there's no better option, a career comedian that looks good in a blazer, combined with C.C. groping blindly for a suitable host that bridges demographics like Trevor Noah. Am I the only one that sees the potential? His cadence alone...
