Welcome back and thanks for watching this video. In this video I will showing you guys what a night shift looks like on my nursing hospital placement on a CARDIOLOGY WARD. My shift starts at 19:30pm and finishes 08:00am in the morning. This is my third year first placement, so I am placed in a position that most work has to be done independently with limited supervision from my nursing mentor. his video was created for educational purpose . Loved the video! Very informative. Quick question, are nurses in the UK allowed to wear acrylics? because I know some places do in the US and Canada and such. Also how do they feel about appearances such as tattoos, piercings etc.

You not allowed acrylics as it’s an infection control issues but no issues with tattoos as well as piercing

It depends on how many patients there is on the ward anything between 6-8 patients

@@nurse_bellinda tell us about patient personal care which comprises a big part ot nursing. Fist second and even third year student nurses spend most of their time making beds, doing observation, helping patients with their personal hygiene needs.

Yeah but it depends what ward you are on.. not all wards comprise of personal care and this was night shift on top of it all.
