I ❤ Ormonde, he is sassy, snappy, and intelligent. The guard and Ormonde are my favorites. It's funny that he figured out a way to keep tourist from pestering him, you go boy! 😅
Ormonde is just doing his job. Protecting the Guard and his box. I think he is an awesome horse. The Blues have acquired some really feisty group of horses, that keep tourist in line. Love to all of them❤❤❤❤
Yes Trooper Ormonde is guarding the King and the King’s Guard. He takes his job seriously and is professionally. These are not wooden soldiers playing dress up and the horses are not on the same level as a petting zoo! These are professionals. These guards would take your head with their swords if there was a dire emergency such as terrorists. Do not mess with them and give them all the utmost respect. They are not playing Halloween for the tourists. The tourists should count it a privilege to respectfully and quietly stand for a picture, leave and let another person do the same. It annoys me when someone hogs the horse area acting as if she is the personal owner and/or guard. All who have watched several of these know to which “Karen” I am referring.
@@paulsmith3487 agree with you but just saying others have called this horse a mare: I believe, Ormonde, is a French name with the “E” indicating a feminine spelling of the name for for this mare. Male horse would be “Ormond”.
The way Ormonde wrinkles his muzzle while thinking about whether to have a chomp or not, reminds me so much of Rod Hull's emu before he used to attack someone.
I love watching Ormond expressing his mood. What bothers me is the parents encourage their children get closer to the horse for a great picture. Are they nuts?

Ormonde is just a beautiful Horse he just doesn’t like anyone in his space and he will let you know he’s a wonderful horse, but when he has a job to do along with his rider, you stay away from him and he will let you know. This is my spot stay away.❤

I bet a million dollars every guard wants Ormonde for the day .. the absolute space this horse provides around both horse & guard is exactly what they all want from the pesky ignorant tourists
It's no wonder the horses get pissed off, all the half baked tourists coming up and giving the peace sign or the thumbs up, all with a stupid rictus fixed on their face. They probably try to bite the odd tourist just for a laugh 😅😂🤣😳

Ormonde is a great Horse! She doesn’t like RUDE people who invade her space! She & her Guard have been very kind to disabled people! Go out if their way to help them get a photo! But of course they and their carers are VERY POLITE and ASK before they move in close beside the horse!!!

I like the expression on the gentleman's face when the guard stopped in front of him. I had that same look while in Walmart 0.o. I cannot get the picture of the long necked dino with the open mouth on Ormondes forehead out of my mind. Gettem Ormonde!
what is it that is being guarded...besides the building? If there is a disturbance or bad actor, its the police who step in, not the "guards". I love this horse! He lures them in with that soft, bored, sleepy-eyed look, then WHAM!
Bad tempered nag..he drugged by the looks of it..yes and I’ve got horses. That guard could stop the biting by correcting the horse,but he thinks it’s fun .
Do horses react to perfume/cologne/after-shave smells? There seems no obvious reason why one person is allowed close and another pushed away or nipped.

I dont understand why these guards walk around to different spots, stomp their foot, turn around and stand there for a couple minutes, then walk away to another spot. And if some one gets in their way, they get yelled at. Wow! I think that horse is having a bad day. I have never seen such snippy service horses. I realize they put up with a lot from stupid tourists but there is no reason for them to be so snippy at people.
The sign is there for a reason - some horses do not like their space invaded - if tourists do not want to get bitten, they just have to show some respect
Doch, gibt es. Gehen Sie mal auf eine Pferdegruppe zu.....sie weichen aus, denn sie wissen nicht ob es eine Bedrohung ist. Ein Pferd, selbst wenn es domestiziert wurde, behält ein Verhalten in seinen Genen welches auf Flucht ausgerichtet ist. Ein Pferd ist ein Fluchttier !! Akzeptieren die Menschen seinen Abstand....tollerriert er es...dringen sie in seinem Freiraum ein......wehrt er sich. Und das ist auch richtig so, schließlich sind Menschen auch unterschiedlich. Ich kann es nicht Leiden wenn mich fremde Menschen antatschen, da werde ich zum Löwen.....so ist es mit Menschen und Tieren....der die das eine mögen es die anderen nicht.
