Mostly it is the love of horses, but in loving horses you would also respect their space, unfortunately most people who don't know much about horses don't recognise the warning body language of the horse. Personally I think the horses should not be allowed to be petted and put under so much stress, the sign should so say do not touch the horses, you can admire them from afar take your pictures etc The public should also remain behind the barrier unless they are going into the place. As a horse lover myself I will visit but I would not bother the horse guard myself.

They should be stopped touching the horses. It must aggravate them all this touching and when it is so Hot. Leave Them Alone take your picture AND GO.

I have notice this horse seems a little high strung than the rest of the horses. He bobs his head a lot and plays with his bit. He is one of my favorite horses of the guard. I dont blame him for gettiing nervous, too many people pawing at him.

I am so impressed with this Man and his Horse. I can't believe the tourists just stand there and gawk. A bit more respect is in order. Give these Soldiers and their Horses some room. The patience of these Soldiers is phenomenal. I salute them!

The second time they showed the incident, I caught a couple words the drunk said to the guard and it wasn't very nice. That alone should have gotten him hauled away.

Cant say enough about the way the rider handled a stressful situation. Just the best! And one bonus…we got a great look at the healthy bloom on the horses hindquarters….a sign of a properly fed and well groomed and cared for horse. Well done all!

By entering entirely his mount into the sentry, the guard protected it from the excess ‘love’ of too many tourists at the same time. Good job sir! The imbecile who was too dense to notice the horse was nervous and tense deserved a swift kick you know where😉! I like to think that, at the end, the guy apologized to the security.
