CANTO 2023, a multilingual multicultural international travelling poetry festival, was held across New Delhi and Kolkata from 15th to 19th March 2023.
This session featured Vijay Seshadri, Pulitzer winning poet & scholar, in conversation with Jeet Thayil, renowned poet & recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award, and John Wilkinson, accomplished poet & Director of U.Chicago's Program in Creative Writing. During the session they discussed temporality in poetry, the influence of Jazz music on American poetry, and other allied themes.
