@@TribalThief only time will tell however will Chelsea be able to spend big again because of the long contracts they gave , yes . I have a hunch that he isn’t on minimum wage like yourself so I’m sure he can afford it 😉
@@TribalThief do you think I support Chelsea or are you just chasing the dragon atm . Let me know when you stop knocking . Enjoy the rest of your evening
This was coming a long time ago this is what we needed to put us back on the right path I'm sure to God this won't happen again. Your club did great to stay up chelsea needed a revamp and plus don't forget we got fked by the government.
Chelsea had an international sqaud b4 they spent,, Forrest needed a foundation of good players. Well done Forrest bytheway, grear to have u's stayin in the prem 👍🏻🏳🏴
@@jamesmilligan2797 exactly so between 60+ game season going to the final in 3 cups (playing to penalties in 2) and world cup in Qatar Chelsea players played alot more minutes than basically every other team with a short break so no time for proper recovery because of the world cup being in summer and a shambles of a pre season touring all over the USA
And whilst forest will once more be in a relegation battle next season. Chelsea will no doubt be back to challenging for honours. Just remind us. How many MAJOR trophies have forest won this century compared to Chelseas 18. Higher than any other club. So your point is what EXACTLY ? Oh yeah a big fat pile of worthless rubbish.
I'm not defending "INSERT OWNER NAME HERE" I'm providing balance. I don't like it when people blame 1 individual when there's a range of problems. 1 minute later. These players and managers are responsible for this failure and they should be ashamed of themselves, if I was "INSERT OWNER NAME HERE" I'd get rid of the lot of them.
The other day he said 'he's spent this year finding his feet'. Imagine taking over a 5 billion pound company and spending a year learning on the job how to run it, it's pretty obvious Simon and Todd are mates or he would be hammering him. It's like me buying BT and saying 'hold on for a year while I study for my MBA, and then we'll get started'.
The context in which CFC came up for sale and the vetting process that was conducted to choose the new owners, fostered an atmosphere of uncertainty and urgency.
I understand your comment, but I must say that how could Boehly enter CFC and begin his tenure with Humility, when he doesn't have a single ounce of Humility in his being and personality? 😅
Honestly he literally just had a go at ETH for wanting January signings after spending 200 million but he’s now advocating to why Chelsea a club what spent 600 million did not sign a striker in January
I'd argue it was the worst ever. Yes, we had some absolutely horrific and statistically worse seasons in the late 70s and 80s amongst others but considering the investment in the squad and manager turnover, combined with the actual lack of effort on the pitch I think has to be the worst, pound for pound. No team of yesteryear acted so careless and passionless as this team did.
@@lorddiegocosta3307 over 700 comments complaining about Chelsea. You must be unemployed to spend all your time commenting about Chelsea from a troll account. Chelsea must have actually destroyed your brain some time in the past whoever you support 😂
We had a woeful season. Boehly has good intentions but didn’t have the knowledge of the game or the right people in place to spend that amount of wedge. I hope we don’t spend a penny this summer, give Poch a whiteboard and the 50 plus magnets that represent the players we have in the squad/on loan. Let him trim them down to 25 and shift the rest out, will have to take a hit. Some of our more flaky/recent fans seem to think we deserve to be higher up the table but points don’t lie.
Newcastle will buy the league with their new owners. LOL. chelsea spent at least twice as much in one window as we did in three. Looks like its not how much you spend but how well you spend it.
Still occasionally mentions Liverpool being bad champions and how poor their season was after winning but with Chelsea all is fine after embarrassing themselves weekly
Simon this, Simon that… make no mistake, this man is a pure pleasure to listen to, quick, and on point , he has been blessed with a brain that can be compared to a hyper sports car, while the rest are looking for a good second hand motor
ETH is right we should have spent money in winter transfer window, he should have been backed after losing the top goal scorer from the previous season. Simon constantly says Utd are the biggest team in the world so how are the owners not going to replace such an integral part of the team? If we had a half decent striker who knows where our season might have ended up.
Chelsea’s model since Abramovich has been to get the best young talent, develops them and sell them on. Before Mount, RLC etc came in to the team (which they only did because of the transfer ban) they only really had John Terry who came through and stayed in the first team. And Hudson-Odoi, Mount and RLC aren’t a huge loss to Chelsea.
He mentioned it in this video and heavily criticised it. Maybe watch the video before running your mouth in future, makes you look less stupid if you do 👌
I think Simon was floundering just a little there and that Jim might've pressed him a little - he should have told him he's talking nonsense 😅 I see his overall point about the long term thinking of owners and their 'visions', how the current doesn't necessarily impact the future in a bad way, given the resources they have, the recruitment and so on. But there's recent data in almost every field that strongly points to an exteemely poor season for Chelsea - results, money spent, managerial decisions and the rate of coaches coming and going, lack of continuity, Boehly going into the dressing room full of players etc etc He talks about context and the 'irrelevance' of Chelsea's catapult into a maelstrom of on-field and off-field woes this year - a take I find utterly puzzling. For Chelsea to have finished 12th, no matter how you slice your onions - the poor results by International, very expensive players and the insurmountable, gigantic ridiculous £600m spent is the ultimate conclusion of their season. Talking about what might happen with the potential of the owners with an expectation that the other clubs in the top 8 won't be able to stop the rise of a resurgent, perfect machine in Boehly's Chelsea is in my opinion a poor take.
1 player lol. Boehly doesn't know sh*t about execution because as a non-executive partner he doesn't do sh*t with the Dodgers. It was Magic Johnson who hired the best possible baseball executives to run the club.
7:44 don’t the players you just listed only kept sue to the Champions League squad rules? This is we’re my Newcastle are going to come to bits at the very start of next season; where can we find players that have been at the club for at least 3years in the academy under 18’s? Also the home grown players who have got playing time this season are freebys as they are under 21 (might 18 in the rule) so don’t need to be included in a UCL squad. I think it’s like 3 home grown; 7 country based for at least three years prior to 18 to count for the part of squad rules. 7:44 how do we fix this? And fix’s this quick Simon?
Sometimes this shows that coughing money unwisely doesn't fix a club.... English football clubs have principles that must be respected if right standards are to be kept.
You could be right, then again Delle Ali was a talented youngster too, a Chelsea team comprising 70% of Delle Ali level performers for the next 8 years on large wages might be very scary as well, as they say when buying shares the value can go down as well as up ..............................................i
cfc will get it right ,i agree poch isnt a serial winner ,only he will sort this squad out to move forward ,he will bring discipline which this young squad needs .after 2 yrs we may need to change managers but that remains to be seen .
The geezer has just not had a good year has he to be fair… but Simon says it was because of the management and the players?…. The owner got new management and new staff and new players…. So really, he is to blame.
All these spending were unnecessary we were not in danger of relegation, we simply needed to replace Tuchel with a good manager..... Sacking the whole old management was suicidal that was his first mistake.... He should have taken time to learn people he had found and only then start taking cautious and wise decisions.....
He panicked and got his pants pulled down. Simple. Look at that Chelsea team. Their best players are still Kante, Reece and Kovacic. I would argue none of the players in have improved the team and what’s left will be past its best anyway.
Simon Jordan is a fool. A confident fool with a posh accent but at the end of the day the man is a fool. Loves the sound of his voice so much he will never be wrong about anything
Agree with him for the most part, but Simon Jordan is the last person that should be giving opinions on ownership… He never did anything, yet he’s the smuggest pundit around
Simon boely is terrible, he’s a mad egotist. The truth sets you free. He Easter money in the summer and then again January. He’s made the same mistakes twice. Stop justifying the indefensible because you’re loyal to owners.
I like Simon Jordan, the man has enough money to just piss off people on the internet and have a 3 Michelin star meal afterward. Selling Crystal Palace, 5 years later would have made him, even more despicable. 🤣🤣🤣
Chelsea will do much better next season. They have a big squad and they will sell a lot of players in the summer. They will buy a few players and they will be solid. I'm not a Chelsea fan.
Chris Jurasek is just another Ed Woodward. An appointed made by Nepotism via a previous business relationship struck through the financial sector rather than being the best in class in Football. Things will get worse for Chelsea. Mark my words.
In a lot of ways he's actually had a good first year as owner in my opinion Essentially he's done about 5 years worth of business in 1 year and has stacked the squad with young players .Just add a striker now and they'll be in a very good situation going forward for the next few years and can build a team. He'd managed to get the right sort of mange to build Chlesea into something consistent in the next few years as Pochettino is good at improving squads as we saw with Spurs and Southampton. They can get Pochettino to build the squad to contend and replace him if need be in a few years time with a proven winner as manager when they need to go and win something, No point building a squad that needs to succeed immediately as nobody is winning anything while Pep is with City better off to be the squad in place to win when Pep leaves in 2 or 3 years time.
That’s only predicated on the fact that all those players you have bought actually fulfil their potential which they won’t as we have seen soo many times in the past. You have loads of unproven players on extortionate wages for long contracts, if and when some of them don’t live up to their potential and no one wants to pay their wages they will sit on the bench or go out on loan eating up your wage bill. The reason no other teams have done something like this is because it’s dumb and no team can predict that amount of players are going to come good in such a short space of time. How can you defend spending all that money and having the worst season in 30 years? Clearly this guy doesn’t have the slightest clue what he is doing.
Chelsea won the champions league two years ago, now have 45 players. What in the world do you see that god. They have so much dead wood in the their ranks.
Hypocrite Jordan is.. after he berated the likes of Gary Neville for knocking Boehly for saying that he is “playing football manager” & that he is doing the right thing by spending money & now this. Joker
When you have two emojis in the sports talk video title, you know it’s going to bring the deep thinkers into the conversation. I don’t think they’re catering to a segment of their audience’s immaturity. I think they’re catering to a segment of their audience’s illiteracy.
So what he is saying is that Chelsea will never play in UEFA competitions as he wants to sell all the club trained players ... or are there another 4 club trained players knocking on the door ??
Bro, we're not playing in uefa next season full stop. What difference does it make? Reece is still there, Hall and Chalobah have come through... there will always be more meat for the grinder at cobham
@@irishmaninporto3510bro…. Chelsea will be back in the Top 4 next season…. You forget that we were 10th in the 15/ 16 season and we won the Prem the next season under Conte…. I don’t expect to win next season, but do expect that Chelsea will be in contention for a Top 4 spot….👌
@NigelHyphenJones was that not what I said ? So if you get rid of the home grown players will you have problems in making the quota? As a Celtic fan it's always a hassle for us to make the quota and unfortunately for us all the good talent we have in our academy is poached by other teams (Ben Doak by Liverpool for example) which doesn't help in the long run
I think you lack self awareness Simon. Maybe in your eyes you aren’t an interfering bully, but when you look in the mirror you only see a reflection, other people see a 3rd persons perspective you cannot. Maybe challenge your assumptions about yourself rather than outright dismiss other peoples point of view
It's ridiculous how much they spent, it's all banked on future revenue and will hurt them in the long run and can see them getting another transfer embargo in years to come We have the wealthiest owner in football so I'm not speaking out of jealousy, it's all well and good doing it I'd you have the calibre of team and revenue stream man city have but he's seriously Dug them a hole
Theres one positive.. hes proven hes willing to spend more than Roman.. ngl its that, that actually gives me a base to go from.. yes im one of the biggest advocates for these muppets dont have a clue about football.. but that being said if they let the people they hire do their jobs we could be onto something huge.. especially given the investment it looks like hes willing to spend every year.. only time will tell but they have to take a step back and allow the professionals to do their jobs..
Simon is a disgrace. When it’s glaring that owners are terrible, he focuses his garbage on players and managers, say stupid one liners about owner who the terrible decisions.
