I was a Bernie Sanders supporting, Trump hating liberal when Trump was elected in 2016 and now I’m a Bible reading, Jesus worshipping, conservative diehard Trump supporter. It’s possible for people to learn and grow and change. I respect that JD admits he was wrong about Trump, it takes a man to admit he was wrong and then help make things right. Reasons Trump picked Vance: 1. He shares Trumps political ideals, including being pro-Bitcoin 2. He should help him win Rust Belt States like Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania 3. He should attract younger voters, which is waiting to be taken by either candidate (He's only 39) 4. High moral character 5. Military service man (Marine), which Trump loves to no end.

Trump's biggest legislative accomplishment was to give tax cuts to the elite. He didn't do anything for average Americans.

I want to say this. I know Donald Trump. He Doesn't hold grudges. He Moves on like nothing happened. He's build differently. I was NOT a fan of Vance because of his comments in the past. However Trump got to know Vance and they clicked. Vance is the VP. Let's see how he does over the next 4 years. He is not guaranteed the 2028 Nominee either.

Yes, let's see. Like Ron DeSantis when he ran for governor, he said many sweet things about President Trump. Unfortunately, later he showed his color & ran against Trump. If he had done it in reverse order, like Vance who bad mouthed first & changed 180 degree when ran for senate that needed Trump's endorsement, then people might have forgotten & forgiven DeSantis & Trump might have considered him for VP too. So Vance is destained to be a VP. But I still don't get it, as a Yale Law graduate, why Vance couldn't exercise critical thinking & listened to media & even called Trump a 'Hit..r'? That kind of rhetoric almost got Trump killed. We ordinary people could get it & admire Trump since 2016 regardless what the MSM said.

But I can make a VERY long list of high profile conservative individuals who made similar comments in 2016, and then changed their opinion as Trump racked up one success after another in his first term, in spite of the strong headwinds from the dems and the never Trumpers.

I was a Democrat for 60 years, when Trump came on the scene I believed what the media fed us, after watching and seeing what the left has fed us, and struggling day by day these last four years I started watching Trump, I saw or wanted to see something better than what we currently have in office. I think it's too early for that. So many contenders for 2028 - JD, Vivek and Tulsi among others are going to be in the running. My choice is Vivek so far. I'd watch to also see if RFK takes a spot in this administration. He would probably guarantee a 2nd landslide for the Rs.

He ain't going to be no next president. He is a safe bet that won't take the spotlight away from Trump. There are other candidates that have better draw power and charisma than this guy. Disappointed in this selection. This selection doesn't really bring in anything. I doubt independent, women, or moderate democrats would care about this guy. He only appeals to the base. If you going to appeal to the base then might as well go with Vivek or Kari Lake who have bigger star power than this guy. If you want to appeal more outside the base Tulsi would have been the one to help bring in moderate and independant.

Vance just feels like the wrong choice. I can't get behind a guy that very publicly said all those incredibly nasty things about Trump. I don't care if it was 2016, he still compared Trump to Hitler. Here are some past comments of JDVance: "I didn't vote for Trump because I can't stomach Trump, I think that he is noxious.. him being really outrageous & offensive" "I find him reprehensible" "My god what an idiot" "Trump is a terrible candidate" "You're an idiot if you voted for Trump" "I'm a never Trump guy, I never liked him" "I might have to hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton" People say that was years ago. So he just said all this based on what ? He didn't have information back then but said this anyways ? for what ? because it was cool to bash Trump back then ? was he trying to please democrats ? was he trying to sell his book (which came out around the same time BTW) ? He wasn't 10 when he made those comments, he was 30. People don't change THAT much, unless they want to gain something. He bashed Trump until he needed Trump to win his 1st term as a Senator. He seems like somebody who will ride with Trump till there is no benefit for him like any politician. I'm not sure but I have a feeling this guy just wants power and is not loyal. The fact that he fell into the media narrative is the reason he is not a good choice. He is friends with Trump Jr., which may have been a big factor why he was picked. I don't like it, a lot of people don't.

I read several comments yesterday comparing Vance to Pence. It didn't seem like a well received choice initially. But I watched Megyn Kelly's interview with Vance from years ago on nbc. If anybody wants a peak into his life and character I highly recommend. He had a very rough upbringing, a ton of family hell. Seems like a really decent person, he is certainly not from a rich family of political elites. He's not Pence, that's for sure. Give Vance a chance!

My biggest concern about his so far is that as recently as January 2022 he was making statements like "let's fire all nurses who refuse to take the vaccine." I know one of his companies also had some kind of youthful-blood product, which is suspect. His wife has connections with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Has Trump just accepted Big Pharma's pick only 48-hours after someone tried to kill him? That could have been the normal schedule for the announcement, but it reeks of previous forced VP situations.

Under Trump 200,000 jobs were outsourced, lowest GDP in the past 100 years. I'm not a Biden's fan, but BIDEN passed the CHIP ACT, PACT ACT, Lowered price of some medications, including insulin, passed infrastructure bill, made unions stronger, prohibited Chinese investors from China to invest in our tech industries. What did Trump do??????????? We got to be fair, and not intellectually lazy to ignore facts.
