The director of the original Space Jam has spoken out against LeBron’s new version. Joe Pytka told TMZ that it took him 5 different sittings to finish the new 2-hour version movie, in addition to ripping the soundtrack and its depiction of Bugs Bunny. But perhaps his biggest target was Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James himself, explaining that the King doesn’t have the superstar je na sais quoi that MJ had, saying quote 'the truth is that LeBron ain’t Michael.' For a FAMILY MOVIE it’s an easy A. Idk wtf kinda drugs the dude above me is taking💀 but anyone who actually watched the movie knows it wasn’t about Lebron. In fact for half the movie, Lebron is trying to force basketball perfection on everyone. His son and all the toons. Even himself. But he eventually learns that family and identity are bigger than basketball which is why the toons get entire highlights in the second half of being themselves and playing ball THEIR way instead of trying to be bron. That’s why they made the comeback. Cuz they were having fun. And why bugs took the last shot and dom gave bron an assist. It wasn’t about him, that was the point

I did the same. I watched Jordan's first, then LeBron's. 1. Shouldn't have done a remake or a sequel. 2. Jordan could act, at least he did in Space Jam. 3. LeBron cannot act. 4. Example: If y'all ever seen the movie, "The Five Heart Beats" One scene they were at the Apollo, and the Announcer wanted his cousins group to win. So when he introduced them, he said , they said they were better than than the legendary Temptations. And the Crowd almost booed them off the Stage. A lot of people are making it seem like just because Jordan isn't an acclaimed actor that he was no better than Lebron and that's objectively false, he had a lot of charisma on screen and he definitely delivered his lines better. The argument is silly. Fans don't respond to LeBron the way they did Jordan. It was pandemonium everywhere Jordan went. LeBronze is ordinary to fans because he loses regularly. But what really hurt LeBronze is his refusing to participate in the dunk contest for fear of failure. Fans feel robbed. Nearly every freakish athlete gave the contest a go. D Wade did the same thing, they middle fingered fans by refusing. We saw all the big dunkers like Howard, Nance.Kemp, and even Kareem. We saw the wing players like Dr. J, Vince, TMac, Pippen, MJ, Kobe, Drexler, Nique, we saw the little dunker like Spud, Nate, and Francis. Until Lebron and Wade, noone was 'too big' to compete for the fans. That movement if you want to call it that killed the star power in the contest.
