CORRUPT AFRICAN LEADERS LIKE CHINESE BECAUSE CHINESE PAY INTO POCKETS OF CORRUPT LEADERS. THEY DO NOT WANT TO PAY THE NIGERIANS TAX STRUCTURES.

@@kennedytsokodibane3058 let's be honest, there's no easier life anywhere. To make a living, one has to work hard first, then, smart except one wants to cut corners. Now to the realities of the majority of Nigerians(we cannot/shouldn't always see things from the lenses of the privileged), everyone cannot be high up the ladder of success but when your earnings from that menial jobs can give a sense of self worth, when the everyday regular Nigerians can feed well from the little they make, when they can be sure that they can access good healthcare with their little means, when they can be sure their children can have basic education in a sane environment, then we can clamour for staying back. Else, people should go to where they can have some form of decent lifestyle. It's the same reason people leave the villages to the cities.

@@kennedytsokodibane3058There is no easier life anywhere. One has to work hard first, then, smart to be successful and I bet you know that Nigerians work hard but there's nothing to show for it. I speak of the majority of Nigerians: the regular everyday Nigerians (cleaner, driver, even professionals such as nurses, doctors, teachers) who work hard but cannot make ends meet. These people are solving problems everyday in their own right. Every human who is working should be able to have decent meals, live in a good house, have access to healthcare, water etc to say the least but that's not the case with the majority of Nigerians. A cleaner in the UK for instance can afford to buy a car, live in a fairly decent apartment and eat whatever they want! Until these basics are sorted, people should move to where they can have some form of dignity and reward for their labour.

My earlier comment was a reflection on why we needed to japa in the first instance. I am old enough to recall that people only went abroad to study and as soon as they were done, they returned to Nigeria with great pomp and ceremony and began to produce and help the country with their skill set. This is no longer the case. By japa back, I was actually referring to some who went back to Nigeria and did not have a nice time after living so long abroad. Emphasis on the word SOME not ALL. At the end of the day, everyone shall deal with the cards of destiny that they are given and make the best of it. Wishing us all well.

You're very wrong! Building Nigeria is not the responsibility of everyone, it's the responsibility of the president and governors. Putting equal responsibility for the success of Nigeria on the common man and the president is one of the reasons why Nigeria is in such a mess. Someone has to be held responsible for the development of the country and that person is the president. But in Nigeria we absolve the president of his responsibility which is why no Nigerian president has ever done anything for Nigeria at all. A proverb says that the goat that belongs to the whole community will die of hunger because nobody will feed it. As a citizen, my responsibility is to better my life and obey the laws of any country where I choose to live while doing so, full stop!

If you are planning to 'japa,' at least to the West, your absolute recommended age limit is 40; preferably less than 35. Note, it doesn't matter how educated or a professional you are in your career, you will start from zero, maybe going back to school - on student loan. Meanwhile, your colleagues you left at home are junior managers, starting their ascent. Think, think, and think again. But the standard retort is always: "If it's that bad, why are you there?" Then they come, are burnt and the process is repeated. If you have something worthwhile going on at home, please stay there.
@msemakweli-wk3lg
@msemakweli-wk3lg Месяц назад
@Ifeomaa Yeah, this is the exact same mentality I'm talking about. Until the fingers are burnt. Then the process is repeated. I repeat: DO NOT come out here (legal or illegal) assuming that your qualifications at home will count for much. I know enough Nigerian, Indian and other African doctors, engineers, and accountants driving taxis and portering patients in hospitals. I remember the Pakistani who was being ordered around by a young lady on cleaning the warehouse floor - he had been a tea factory manager in Pakistan, and was almost in tears. Yes, you can absolutely get things back on track - and many have done, but you WILL HAVE TO go back to school. The question is if you want to do that at the age of 46, on student loans. And where those you left behind will be, in relative terms. A few, on- demand professions, such as nursing, have a relatively easier path to absorption. At the end of the day, the reader will listen to everything, assess, make their own decisions, and be responsible for those decisions.
@Ifeomaa

@@msemakweli-wk3lgsorry to burst your bubble but i and my peers migrated here as professionals and got into countries as professionals, retaining our previous Professions and are doing very well, the people you speak of, maybe you and others, ask them well, probably people who left without mapping out their lives. Their are people who studied theur masters outside Nigeria, and after used that degree to get a job outside. Stop fear mongering. A lot of people leave Nigeria without different plans, what a big risk, thats the only. Also, stay in your country and work i out, because your peers will advance in careers is null and void. People who were earning 250k in 2021 now earning 700k in 2024, there is no difference in that money. 700k now is the same as 250k. The problem is that the people you know left Nigeria with - “let’s see how it goes plans, let me do masters and everything will fall in” NO IT does not work that way. If you are uprooting your life, you should make so many contingency plans. Leaving Nigeria opens people up to a world of opportunity, it must not be to UK, US/Canada, there are so many countries,you heard japa and immediately thought “UK” (the issues you’re explaining is very common in yhe UK) and this is the number one issue, UK is not the only available country, it can be a means to end, it can be the end depending on how you plan.

Why are Nigerians and Africans always told to stay in their countries and "develop it", when emigration is a pathway various groups have explored throughout the modern era? Europeans migrated to the US and Canada; the Japanese and Chinese migrated to North American and South American countries; Lebanese and other Levant and Arab nationals moved to South America. This "stay and develop your country" advice is flawed.
@yvonnerichard4626
@yvonnerichard4626 27 дней назад
Exactly. Because in migration you will gain skills and knowledge that will enable you to develop your country in one way or the other.
@mazwideamahle4091
@mazwideamahle4091 26 дней назад
The difference here is Europeans expanded their expertise elsewhere. They left behind formidable countries with strong economies and infrastructure.....the same can not be said about Africa.....African migration equates to brain and should never be deemed a win until concerted efforts are made to invest the acquired knowledge back home. Rwanda, a country geared toward fast economic growth, is currently building one of the strongest medical economies in Africa by training; retaining and attracting foreign expertise INTO the country .....this is what Africa should aim for. ....my prediction is, in the next 5 years, Nigerians will fly to Rwanda for medical treatment.....that's real economic expansion, not brain drain.

I'm a woman with a low education background . I love my country, nigeria . I think it is a shame with different treasures God has blessed nigeria with, yet no one can be proud of anything other than to encourage people to japa because of insecurities and hunger. When I was young, many nigeria went abroad for better education and learned how to govern his people and build our country nigeria. when they returned, they turned to something else. Who will fix nigeria? If there's no peace abroad can you stay there,? Do you think it is easy to move to another country just like that. The people who supported the leaders by collecting bribes to destroy nigeria have lay everlasting curse upon their generation. The anger of Almighty God is coming soon to visit everyone who contributes to the downfall of nigeria .(innocent soul are dying of hunger, and premature death because of your selfishness,) What shall it profit a man to have everything but sow incurable curses to his generational everyone shall reap what he sow.I will blessed those who blessed you, those who curse you I will curse say Almighty God (Gen.12:3)
