One of the problems with the NFL today, is that some of these superstar players are more concerned with their "brand" and their bank account than they are with "team" and "winning". If a guy is more concerned with his own logo than the team logo, the team will not be successful.

This reminds me of the scene in Mr. Deeds where the QB storms in demanding more money cause he thought if he played well he could renegotiate and make more money and Deeds tells him “if you didn’t play well could we renegotiate and pay you less?” Kyler is doing what is expected of him that’s why they drafted him. Other QBs have won super bowls in their rookie contracts and haven’t been pulling what he is. The whole lack of maturity leak seems valid.

I'm a Chiefs fan, but I live in Phoenix. If I were a cardinals fan, I would be worried about signing Murray longterm. He's got all the talent, but i feel like drama will be a recurring thing with him if it's happening already. Not to mention his second half of season performance two years in a row. We all chalked last year up to him being injured, but maybe there was more to it than that.

Well, I live in the Phoenix area (Paradise Valley) and I know a lot of Cardinals fans who are very unsure about hitching the team to Murray for a long term 40 million per year deal. Some think he's immature but I'd say the commonest thing I hear is high floor but low ceiling.

Ironically enough, the improving may not be as much as we think. His numbers each of his 3 years are almost identical. TD, INT, & yards have not really changed. They're good numbers, don't get me wrong. I also heard a one time league MVP QB point out a lot of game management issues from a starting QB haven't gotten much better either.

Goff's deal was after his Super Bowl apperance and they never even made it close to being back until after they traded him away for Matt Stafford. He also mentioned lowering his cap hit for 22-23 so they can re-sign players and additional free agents. Rich just didn’t read that part. It’s a 12 minute video and Rich is acting like it would’ve been impossible for him to read every word. I’m not even a Cardinals fan, but Rich easily could’ve mentioned that but it would’ve killed his narrative.

“Is there anyone out there who doesn’t think Kyler should be paid?” Yup, I do. First of all, he is not being paid “chump change,” he’s getting 5+ million next year. Granted it’s not 40 million but it’s not the league minimum either. Secondly, how about he proves he can stay healthy for an entire season before asking for a new contract. Thirdly, how about you show some passion and don’t roll over in the first round of the playoffs. He didn’t run at all and I hate to be the one to break it to him, but he’s not talented enough to not be a dual threat. Finally, how about you finish out your contract, or you afraid you won’t make it 4 years? I wouldn’t and don’t blame you for wanting a lot of guaranteed $ in case of injury, but don’t blame the Cardinals for not wanting to do that until they are confident that you won’t fall apart in 2 more years.

his play had declined throughout every year. elite weapons, good defense and still can’t win late in the season/ playoffs. i don’t get where the hype comes from for kyler. any other qb would be blamed for the teams collapse every season

his weapons are not even close to elite, the only great wr he has is hopkins who was hurt most of the year, and his online is not good

Being a life long fan, parents had season tickets until ‘97, and a resident of the valley for my whole life: We, too, cannot explain any of it either. Every valley team asks the fans and citizens to stay true and keep paying for tickets and yet never deliver. No valley team will win without Jerry Colangelo.
