Thank you Majd and David for putting this together. The credibility and face of a company is always valuable and I think always appreciated. watching this reinforces my belief that I made a good decision purchasing DR. A toast to u both for work well done here !

I realise this is ‘old’ news now but these two videos (update and interview) have really changed my perception of DR significantly. Listening to Majd talking about it so openly from behind the scenes was refreshing and inspiring!

Oh dear oh dear oh dear!!! A long time ago I downloaded and tried DR but deleted it quite quickly because it didn't have masks. Then I got introduced to LR. Now I see they added masks 6 months ago. And now the latest updates. I really don't want to change but I feel it deserves exploration. Grrrr!!!

I run dxo pureraw 2 and then import into darkroom and then into iPhoto. I have the others. I am not a pro and very happy to hear you are continually making it better and better. Keep going. Easiest workflow ever for me. Thanks so much and your videos David helped me discover Darkroom so thank you too.

Nice interview! Thanks David and Majd! Majd, congratulations to this new milestone! I only disagree with one point regarding creative choices you make. The exposure slider must not be subjective, especially when it comes to RAW. It must be predictable and the value needs to be expressed in stops. If I want to increase the exposure by one stop, I want it exactly one stop. That‘s how the brain of a lot of more experienced photographers works. We think in stops when it comes to exposure adjustments.

You’re totally right, on that note, it’s not subjective. Exposure is a simple formula, I wasn’t super nuanced in my answer :)

@@David_Addison I think these sliders do not use a formula that is universal throughout the industry, but is based on creative decisions of the developers. Therefore I see the percentage value of what the sliders can do as the best way to express the effect in numbers.

Will they get a healing option to mask unwanted objects in our photos

I really love this app but i have a question, on the mac when i open a raw photo the app removes the file from the folder, like it basically deletes the photo file to import it why does it do that? I wish the app on the mac made browsing photos on your hard drive more seam less it seems to more geared to be navigating through your apple photos app than your locale drives

Thanks David. Welcome back? I’ve updated Darkroom and have paid for complete access to 6.2 but I can find no Exposure slider. Below the mask option the only slider I see is Brightness. Am I missing something? Thank you, again.

The exposure slider is only available with DNG (RAW and ProRaw) images.

For some reason this app is not great on my iPad Pro 12.9 in. It’s a bit slow and every time that I upload Fujifilm RAW files do not seem supported. I can see them in the import window but once they are imported they just turn completely black. The same files open just fine in Lightroom Mobile.

Fuji RAW not supported in many true raw software. That’s why I left Fuji.
