Nothing will happen if Arsenal don't win a trophy. Arsenal is not going to sack Arteta. The problem is that the players may get different offers from different other clubs and they may leave Arsenal.

Context is everything though. If we push for the title as hard as we did last season, get to the Semis in the CL and the final of an FA Cup but lose it to say a City or Liverpool - he's improved again on what we did previously. This idea that he has to win silverware is so black and white. As long as the club is still improving and heading in the right direction then he has enough credit in the bank for me personally. That's before you raise the point that there might not be a manager available who is better placed to get us to win silverware the following season.

He should of been sacked for finishing 8th twice ,then missing out on top 4, and again for disrespecting and disregarding the cup competitions,but most certainly should of been sacked in 2023 after losing the title after being EIGHT points clear at one stage , he should of been sacked again in 2024 for failing to win back to back league titles .

And bring in who? Being ruthless is one thing, but being ruthless with the coach that's made us compete for the first time in two decades with no clear replacement is just silly. People who think managers will run at the chance to join us the same way they do teams like City are deluded. We are very very good, but until we can establish a prestige of winning those kinds of managers will not come running to us.

It depends on the context if he gets us to UCL final and we lose out on title by a few points, there's no way we should sack Arteta. Yes i wouldn't be happy going without a trophy again, but i wouldn't be devastated to the point of wanting us to sack Mikel. It would take a really bad season for his job to be in question and i like the stability that we have with him at the club atm.

Not beating Peps City to the PL title or winning Arsenals first ever UCL = lose job. Reality is Arsenal have never been this close to winning the league, or playing this good football since 2004. It would be madness to sack Arteta, and thinking that who could do a better job? I could only see Pep or Klopp do a better job, and they might even not be able to do it. Arteta beat Klopp comfortably two season in a row, and lost only with a few points to Pep, and we are talking about a Pep City team with players on twice the salary Arsenal are offering (Haaland and Kdb 400k pw) Its not really a fair fight is it? When Arteta took over Arsenal Peps City were winning back to back to back leagues while Arsenal were sitting at 8th. Fact that they are going toe to toe now just shows how good Arteta really is. And winning the FA cup is a nice thing, but does not really matter. And winning the Carabao cup does not matter at all. To prove this point: winning PL or UCL is worth 10 FA cups or more.

The club will fall apart very quickly. Players who were loyal coz of Arteta all of a sudden "want to seek new challenges". We've had more in our recent history, past 8 years being unsuccessful than not - not sure how making it a requirement to get trophies after 2 success years. We're in a good path.
