Not really. Ant was running with rookies too the difference is all the guys around him talk about how he instills confidence in them and pushes them to be better. Max Reid said he talks and makes them feel like they’re as good as he is. Maybe SGA should have done the same….

Timberwolves fans would never take Shai over ANT... Casuals somehow seem to forget ANT is only 22 and is the alpha on the #1 team in the west. He's done way more and on a far greater trajectory than Shai compared to when Shai was 22. ANT is literally bigger stronger faster and shoots the 3 better. It's just a matter of time before ANT gets the intricacies of the NBA down like Shai. It took Shai until he was 24 to truly develop his game to the level it is at right now. Give ANT 2 more years and he'll blow past Shai and the rest of the league.

He was the #3 or #4 option on a Thunder team with Schroeder, CP3, and Gallinari. ANT at same age didn't have Rudy. ANT made himself the alpha on the Timberwolves at that point at just age 20... Shai at age 20 and 21 in 2 playoff series only averaged 15 PPG. ANT at age 20 and 21 in 2 playoff series average 28 PPG. Thus far neither has been passed the 1st round so it's incredibly stupid to crown either one of them... But as far as potential... ANT is WAY ahead of Shai at the same age. How many all-stars did Shai have by age 23? ZERO ANT already has 2 by age 22 ANT is bigger stronger faster than Shai AND he shoots the long ball better ALREADY and he's more of a lock down defender (yes Shai gets steal, but not as lock down defender) Give ANT a couple more years to catch up to Shai on certain intricacies of the game.
