Helping the homeless doesn’t always go plain sailing in Liverpool. Fights start and I myself am confronted for “not helping” #liverpool #lfc #city #homeless #tents #sleepingbag
The world is full of people who try to make your life as bad as theirs. It does my heart good seeing people who are trying to build people up and make their lives a little better. Good luck mate
I hope that didn’t put you off Kev. You’ve done wonders in highlighting the issue of homelessness and adding all the links to the different charities on your channel. Be proud of yourself for that, many of us would never have know about Liverpool’s issue, especially those of us who live miles away from there. It was only through your channel I found out about so many things and how the people are helping, I’ve been able to take some ideas in to work on what we can do in my city. So thank you for that. It’s not just Liverpool you are helping believe me.
We have the same in walsall westmids its everywhere kev should not be happening in the uk shame on this goverment food banks are struggling greggs give all the food they dont sell keep up the good work mate
Here in Dublin in Ireland we have homeless like we've never seen, the government has taken in refugees and opened up closed buildings put beds in them and moved all these refuges into them all men all fighting age , Here I live is a new housing estate a 9 out of 10 people moved into these new homes are from everywhere else but Ireland while our own Irish are homeless families with children young babies even,, left to find somewhere to sleep for the night, young mothers having to spend the night in police stations were its safe with their babies and these men from god knows where giving a safe bed for months at a time even years while our own die out on the streets , I have nothing against people from outside Ireland living here but there housed before our mothers, I've been homeless as a younger man I wouldn't want it for anyone let alone a young mother with babies, my kids grow up with the first coloured families housed I love them all and have very good memories of my boys playing with there boys , but its not fair house us at the same time not them before us no together as our hearts tell us , and the drugs ? The kids at young school level need to be shown the horror of drug addiction were closing the gate after the horse has ran down the road.
He was lucky I wasn’t there. I was due to visit at that time but something came up. I had my steel headed walking cane with me. A fantastic deterrent. It worked very well on Friday down Bold street
It's so difficult to know who is truely homeless here in London. There are so many migrant gangs that have pushed out genuine homeless people from the area! I rarely use cash so don't give out much anyway. Since 2011, I started a business where a percentage of what sold goes to charities. I donate mostly to several children’s charities; NSPCC, Make A Wish, Starlight etc, but also to Shelter around x-mas. Also have a personal eBay account where I sell personal items for charity too. So, keep doing what you do mate. 😇
You’re a brave and caring man, Kev! Some of these people are wound up on drugs and alcohol, so be careful out there! I still can’t believe that the government is so heartless that they can’t find money to house these poor people? Well done, Kev! ❤👏👏👏
The Government has no money; only taxing people who work. This includes you so contribute money to the homeless. I can't believe that you are so heartless that you can't find the money to help house these poor people. So dig deep instead of virtue signalling
Well there is always one .Very good to see Graham looking happy.the chap in the grey hoodie who spoke he is the lad who unloaded my car at big life such a genuine lad hope they raise some good funds . martin got support . very interesting video.Keep up the good work.
Kev You Dealt with that Situation really Well and You have Helped and Inspired so Many from All of the UK with these Videos. Thank You for what You do. 😊
That lad spitting at people is the reason why people living on the streets refuse to stay in hostels, and feel safer sleeping on the street, that lad probably bullys vulnerable service users... The lad needs to be dealt with before he seriously hurts someone.. Complete bully.
Think we've all met that person that just wants to start on you for no reason on the odd occasion. Just gotta stand your ground and they'll back down most of the time. Love these vids tho, keep em coming, best city in the world.
this is the gratitude you get when someone takes to much drink or drugs wanting to bad mouth this man for helping the homeless but some people just can't see the proper picture thats going on in front of them but well done to this man for helping the homeless wee need more people who want to help out others God bless him and the rest of the guys for helping out those those that are less fortunate in life ive been homeless myself and its absolutely horrendous so its great to see people being passionate to other people that's what its all about
Cuppo it's Leo keep it up mate just came across your videos your doing an amazing thing mate!!! Don't let know mushroom like him put you off your doing brilliant Kev hats off to you mate god bless you all helping the real homeless ❤
I live just outside Birmingham and the last time I went in was to see Peter Kay, over a year ago and the streets were filthy and rat infested. I'll bet it's worse now but I avoid it...
@@glennoc8585 the city has gone downhill terribly... I used to come up from the south coast for work and it was great, about 20 years ago... I was moved here in 2014 to get me off the streets as a lot of councils used to send their homeless to Birmingham and it was grim. It has got much worse since then. I actively avoid the place now, unless changing trains at New Street and even then I'd rather take a longer trip to Wolverhampton to change there. You don't have to do the walk under the Bullring past all the deprivation then. I know the homeless system, having gone through it and it should be leading the country in eradicating the issue but it's just "charities" scamming the system...
Kindness and helping others is a good trait in personallity to have. Just that you have to be on guard also so not to be taken advantage of. We can only help people so far. The rest is up to them to help themselve's.
Trouble is with home less people alot want to stay that way begging for money for there drug habit and thanks to the government who don't care about our own and haven't for years and you always get some wrong people bulling and people takeing advantage and not homeless I'm shocked you didn't knocked the idiot out he he's just looking for a fight I've been homeless many times over the years but now got clean and getting the help but still not got my own place just lucky my ex keeps a roof over my head but good people like you and everyone else helping people out god bless you all
Just keep going as a team Kev and it's true don't let that fly in the ointment of a silly person stop you and the others of highlighting what's really going on, he'll start on the wrong person and he will know about it when he does as they'll tell him about himself. The more that you put out there the more the city is coming together to help it's people, and if you had to do what you had to do then so be it luckily for him you didn't need to he showed himself up by looking silly on the camera he was all mouth as well as childish he would of been dropped like a bad habit keep up the good work mate.
I’d love to see more videos of you around town capturing the nightlife and what’s goes on. There is another RU-vidr who is always round Manchester recording he gets some quality content
As ever many thank for brining us life in the raw on the Streets of Liverpool and the hope of a better future that the good works the like mined folk of Merseyside, including yourself bring to the homless. That said can you give us an insight into any engagement your or the people are involved with have had with Local Goverment on the homless issue in Liverpool. 21:01
In some parts of America they have set up Tall Fridges on The City Sideways so A homeless person Can pick something out That They need. GOD BLESS them 🙏 all.
Listen to you Kev.... "i'll have to chin him if he starts on me" LOL I don't think I would want to start on you. You make me laugh Kev, but in all seriousness you have to be strong & don't back down to show that you won't be intimidated. You can give as good as you get. Craig is tackling things head on & this shows how tough it is if you are not in a large group. I hope things will not be as "eventful" for you in the future Kev, but I have faith in you to handle it if it does. Good work there Kev. Cheers
Sound you mate for what you do around the homeless and that. That lad had a death wish, starting on people like that.. bloody hell. Dark future ahead if he doesn't muck up mate.
We need a place in the city centre where all the services can come together in one place , Have different floors for each group of homeless people ie drug addicts one floor , young homeless one floor, homeless women one floor , homeless men one floor , mentally ill one floor .That way people can be assessed , given medical care and feel safe . Lots of homeless do not feel safe in the current hostels as many are filled with drug addicts and violent people ,
A hotel on caste st is full of boat people how can this be right are own people on the streets are there getting put up this country is rotten to the core
there shouldn't be anyone on the streets, go the jobby they will get you a roof over your head, drug addicts there is help out there! no need for people to be living this way. maybe its there choice who knows but there is help out there. shame
God bless u for what you do bro 👍🏻….I’ve lost everyone and i was homeless for few years it was a truly horrible situation and experience and I would NOT wish it on my worst enemy BUT Ive been housed for 4yrs now … some people cannot accept help or be helped u can only but try + kindness and a bit of compassion costs nothing and u sir 🫡 i appreciate and dig what your doing u got a caring ❤️👍🏻😎✝️ + yes our PATHETIC government should get there bloody finger out and help our own x military and genuine cases of homelessness 😕makes me sick and gets on my wick the lack of help from the government they just don’t give a fuck excuse my french….
@@Kevcupo my bad i reworded my previous msg wrong but correct the wording in prev message -> i ‘’was” homeless sorry….I’ve been housed for 4yrs now it’s turned around ty 👍🏻 BUT yes it was horrible and a struggle mentally
Before anyone accuses me of being heartless I’ve done a lot of support work in mental health and I know how easy it is to end up on the streets….however…. I am now of the opinion that Liverpool City Centre needs to be cleared of street sleeping camps and beggars. Where do they go? Well in my opinion those that want help should get a mental health assessment, and supported living if they are assessed as requiring it. For those that prefer to be on the street or have substance abuse issues, I believe they should be detained against their own will, for their own good. Sorry if that offends.
It’s an open forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Two reasons why the homeless gravitate to the city centre. 1. High footfall of pedestrians he may part with their money. 2. They just feel safer than staying in a suburb, CCTV everywhere and access to emergency services if needed
"You don't owe to nobody... Anytime you take anything from anybody, they expecting for you to return some kind of favor. better off not taking shit from no one." - Me
You are so right I work in town of a night... horrible experience with a woman from Wigan who glassed someone last week... They seem to think they can come to our city and behave like scum...bet half of them don't do it back home....then Liverpool gets the reputation!!😤
That looks to be exactly where my grandparents lived in pensioner flats up until 1975. It was either exactly there or in the leafy bit next to it is where my wife's auntie lived in pensioner bungalows. So the building cannot be older than 50 years old. Seems too young a building to be collapsing. Questions need to be asked about the standard of the original build.
@@Kevcupo Its Jamie Davies thank you for helping the homeless people in Liverpool city I think your doing amazing job of helping the homeless people in Liverpool @Kevcupo my mate and friend....
Why move to a country to be homeless? What a load of bollocks. There are two hostels where I live, they pretend they're homeless for money, but everyone knows who they are.
@@Kevcupo it really is, the city I live near is getting worse day by day. But with each one comes a journey through life you’d never want to have to have gone through what they’ve been through. Sometimes I think I’ve heard it all, then one makes me walk away with tears in my eyes. It’s a shameful world what some parent do to their kids and all it ends up in is death as a child or an horrific adulthood, some manage to escape it and go on to be able to live relatively alright lives, but when I catch up with them sometimes I can see the mental scars will never heal.
spot on brother well done for exposing fake homeless beggars etc. i stay in Aberdeen Scotland and it's very organised make no mistake about that. people used to drop bags of clothes etc at charity shop doors, i work in city centre and I've seen these alleged beggars being dropped off moving around like doing shifts. well done brother for exposing these ppl. what you should do is hide out of sight sometimes and follow them when they move, the genuine homeless are suffering cause of the gangs of beggars 🫡👍🏴
lol he weren’t interested in fighting once he got punched 😂 that’s why he had to spit because he knew he couldn’t do anything else, you could tell from the stances alone he didn’t stand a chance 😂
Soz 😂 go to gaol for 1,3 5 yrs etc , rehabs , detox centres but if you dont fix their heads theyll just come out and use again, much money is needed many more professionals , psychologists , psychiatrists , counsellors etc , pls dont give up on em Dave 🙏😉👍
@Kevcupo I bet pal some people don't get it it does not matter what u have your their helping and spreading the word for a mate then u come across pratts like that.
