In the book is a little diferent, Jamie introduces Claire to John and goes to a room to talk alone with him, and Claire sees Jamie embrassing John and they looking to each other in way ...well.. She understands thats something strange there and wonders if Jamie had taken Lord John as his lover when he was in prision...

Best bromance ever! Both equally handsome, respectable, likable, strong characters and very talented actors. I love Jamie and Claire but a part of me silently grieves with Lord John for the unrequited love they both deserve.

Jamie told Lord John that there isn’t anything that hasn’t already been done to him when Lord John was wanting Jamie to translate the dying mans message and Jamie refused and Lord John told Jamie there r ways I can do to make u talk I believe at that moment Lord John realized what Jamie had been tortured and raped and Jamie rose above what he went through and survived I loved the relationship Jamie and Lord John formed together and became TRUE friends what a bond !!!!!!

All I know is in that moment when John looks so devastated, I just wanted to tell him that he did nothing wrong and Jamie’s reaction, though understandable, was not about him.

Hope he hasn't left also. There's some rousing good parts yet to come in the books that include him and I'd hate it if they left those parts out!

@@Blue-rl5dp oh my..I would love to read them and I bet at one time I may have read one of them not realizing they had sequels...we use to swap books by the dozens between my mom and girlfriend so who knows..well I hope Jamie gets over being mad at John ...there friendship was one of a kind! I bet he will be back!

I understand the book swapping. I have a couple of cousins I've swapped with for years. End up only paying for about one fourth of the books I actually read. For some reason I kept not reading Outlander, though. Finally sat down and read it a little more than a year ago and now I'm full blown addict. Can I give you a tiny spoiler? In "The Scottish Prisoner" John is in a boat in a river and gets shot, falls overboard. Jamie fishes him out of the river and stops the bleeding and carries him to shelter. John is secretly distraught; He's finally been in Jamie's arms, and doesn't remember a thing about it!!!! LOL

I have more gay ship than straight and most of them are not canon but I think Jamie can love only Claire. They have an unbreakable trust for each other and I love it… but I think sometimes that if Jamie didn’t meet Claire than I could ship him with John

@@Paulasantos. Claire would find out. He can't lie to her. Remember what happened last time he tried to keep something from her. She was gett'n on her horse to leave him, he got shot, and she got to poke him in the arse with a syringe, and he didn't like that. Besides, Jamie tries real hard to be an honorable man. He can't go getting his jollies with someone else, male nor female, just because puppy-eyes-John wants him to. And John is an honorable man, to a fault. He likely wouldn't take Jamie on those terms. He wants ALL of Jamie, not part time or a one night stand. He wants what Claire has. Claire would sneak something truly awful into John's drink and murder him painfully and be remorseful and sad about it forever and Jamie would have to blame himself every time he saw her sad, and break his heart.

@@Blue-rl5dp Well...there's an old saying : the moment makes the thief, Claire away, John and Jamie alone, after a few drinks, in an hot moment... How could she find out? Only if he told her, he could keep it to himself... Imagine when they were all together, Jamie would blink an eye to John with a naughty smile, without anyone note, would be their secret... I don't believe Claire would poison John if she found out...she didn't even kill the creepy bastard who raped her, Marsali did , as a doctor she believes that she must save lives, not take them. Jamie and John wouldn't be less honorable for that.

@@Paulasantos. Nope. Jamie would tell her. He always felt guilty when he didn't tell her something. He told her about Mary McNab, the woman who came to him in the cave the night before gave himself up to be "captured" by the soldiers. Claire had been gone for six years at the time. He told her about the son whom he thought he would never see again. Claire is his life, his soul. I don't think he COULD bring himself to have another affection interest, especially while he actually had Claire there. He didn't have girlfriends the whole time she was gone even though he came to believe she would never come back. It took him eighteen years to finally give in to his loneliness and marry Learie, and that because he wanted to be Daddy to her children. No, if he did it even once he'd tell her, eventually. He's good at putting his confessions off for a long time. John already turned down Jamie's offer of a one-time bounce in the hay (despite how much he wanted him) because John didn't want a one-timer, and likely not a clandestine sneak-around affair. John wanted love. He wanted full-time. He wanted what Claire had. I think she would poison John if she found out he and Jamie were having an on-going affair. She couldn't bring herself to kill her rapist because his offense was against her. She would kill John because his offense was against Jamie, the same as she killed Geillis because she threatened Bree. And yes, she'd consider John having a physical love affair with Jamie an offense to him even though Jamie gave his consent because he gave his consent to Black Jack, too.

Вы меня сильно удивили. Первый человек, который не питает симпатии к Джону. Обычно все от него без ума и жалеют. У меня к нему двоякое отношение. С одной стороны, благодаря ему осуществился шантаж сучки Дженивы, с другой - Джейми обрёл друга, правда, не сразу, пришлось отвергать домогательства Джона. Смешно: Джон поместил Джейми к господа Дансени, чтобы тот не исчез из его жизни, а использовала Джейми пятнадцатилетняя шантажистка, которая и поплатилась смертью за свою прихоть.
