so fun fact about the differences in the pilot, I believe all characters were played by 3 people. Brandon Rogers was and is Blitz as well as the doctor and 1 or 2 others. Richard Horvitz the voice of Moxxie played all other male characters and Erica Lindbeck who is now the voice of Loona played all the female characters.

I think I didn't realize Millie was supposed to be southern until this new VA took over, lol. It definitely grew on me regardless!

I feel dumb, cause when a binged the series a few months back, i never even noticed her voice changed between the pilot and episode one, till i saw people point it out on reactions

I more have beef with how exaggerated her southern accent is. Erica's was arguably a bit too subtle (it's definitely there, though), but the new VA does it way too exaggerated. As a southern fella myself the trope of deep backwoods hillybilly accents for every southern character gets old fast (shoutouts to my Scottish homies who have to deal with a similar situation), so hearing an actual subtle southern accent was nice. Most of us don't sound like we live in the mountains playing banjo while downin' moonshine 😕 As an aside, Norman Reedus (who's actually from the south) is what a non-exaggerated southern accent would sound like. Still pronounced, but not exaggerated to an insulting degree. I use him as an example due to his voicing a character a bit later in the season.

I heard a theory about Moxxie being unsure of killing a specifically a family because he as an IMP can have his own with Millie, and therefore he projects on having his family murdered or him being killed and leaving his family alone just because one member of it f up, like in this case thinking that the kids won't have a mother because she cheated, and not even getting to know who killed their mother, until they are revealed as psychos

@@aprillee7555 And it may be me looking into it too much, but Moxxie did say he was dreaming of his parents being murdered when Blitzø was being uncomfortably close to him in bed. I know it was for the gag, and it probably was just a throwaway line, but perhaps it was a hint to some tragedy in Moxxie's past which gave him his abstinence from killing families?

Thank you! Honestly when she got upset over the voice change it was like a stab to the heart for me. But you're absolutely right. She just needs to let the new voice sink in for an episode or two, and you won't even care about the change. I really do love the voice she has now. :]

It's really inaccurate though. As a southern guy it's really grating to hear what can only be described as an insulting caricature of what we actually sound like 😕 She actually had the southern accent in the pilot as well, it was just way more subtle. Maybe too subtle, but better than what we ended up getting. Tired of my representation being treated as a joke. At least Norman Reedus is actually southern and so gave us an accurate representation in a later episode.

@@marcey4207 It's because we're used to it. We know that iff somebody has a southern accent in something, it's gonna be super exaggerated. It's par for the course. Thing is, Millie's accent *wasn't* exaggerated in the pilot, so it stands out more. If she'd started out exaggerated I'd give it a little eye roll and carry on, but since I really liked it at first now it's extra disappointing.
