⁠Spider is Scared of a Thunderstorm 

when you were talking to it, it really looked like it understood you

@@JackFrost008 the hairs on the legs of larger spiders are sensitive enough to sense vibrations in the air. Mostly gusts of wind but this can also include some sounds

Doesn’t matter the medium-air, earth, water… sound is just vibrating if…and I’M a (retired) pro audio engineer, so I know what I’M talking about, 😂. (All of this is so sim-ple and basic it’s utterly absurd to flex our ‘expertise’ so we can appear MORE authoritative on what is, more or less, common knowledge. Damn near everybody knows spiders sense vibrations; we’ve all seen web-weaving spiders rush out to paralyse and cocoon its prey when it feels the web fibres vibrate; just the same, bloody well everybody who’s not an idiot knows that sound is vibrations in the air. Bass frequencies are LONG waves; treble frequencies are very short waves. That’s why you need a big speaker if you want the best bass response. IMO, this was a charming video, and the spider could clearly sense the rumble of the bass frequencies in the thunder by the motion of the sound waves in the air against his sensitive little leg hairs.

Yeah, gently inviting it to go outside, that's what I usually do too... and most often than not, I'll even offer to carry them outside! Such a beautiful natural world outside and these things still choose to come inside!! haha

Bottle caps also work great for leaving little water bowls around the house for spiders. I started leaving caps of water out in the bathroom to keep the spiders from getting trapped in the bathtub looking for a drink and it's worked really well, haven’t seen one in the tub since

it’s so interesting that humans have the wonderful ability to show compassion for creators even when they’re afraid of them

It's in our programming to be creeped out by them. It helps to know which ones are dangerous to humans and which ones are actually going to be eating bugs we don't want in our home anyways

I have this feeling with bees people get so scared of them but they don't live that long so I like being kind to them and feeling their fuzzy backs. I don't like spiders but I wish I felt this same feeling with bees the way op so clearly feel in the video

@veen4481 Start small. Make friends with a jumping spider: the curious orange cat of the arachnid world. Then you can work your way up to these cuties. Im currently on the “befriending small regular spiders” stage, but ill be graduating to playing with orb weavers soon.

Yes, a huntsman, it was in the room for days not in the rain, but I keep putting them back out and they sneak back in, bit of a game. I reckon it knew I was going to put it back out and didn’t want to go

@@AndrewMcMullen It’s better if you have an attic or basement and take it there instead. Spiders can thrive indoors. A lot of Common House Spiders are actually descendants of families that have lived within our walls for centuries.

More likely wanting to go outside so it could get a drink, which it did.

The body part you're looking for is abdomen. Arachnids don't have thoraxes, as they only have 2 body segments.

Most insect and spiders won't get crushed by rain drop but they can suffocate when getting wet because the way they breath.

It’s most likely trying to get out of the water. That’s not exactly safe for a spider. They also sense vibrations and the thunder probably makes them a bit jittery too

I'm in America. I don't kill spiders. I don't associate myself with anyone that kills bugs in general, except mosquitoes, which makes me feel guilty but they carry diseases.
