I ride my bicycle on Meadow Lane in Southampton from Cooper's Beach to Shinnecock County Park. Meadow Lane is lined with expensive mansions costing millions of dollars, with some properties even have helipads. Unfortunately, most of the views of these gorgeous properties are obstructed by high hedges, secure gates, or large driveways.

why would you buy it? the cost to maintain that house and the useless size (unless you have a large family) makes it a waste of money and time, plus the architecture of almost all gigantic mansion in the us is horrible

That house at 8:51 is literally the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. Turns out the contractor went over budget by hundreds of millions of dollars, and the billionaire client ordered the house to be demolished. The contractor said no, so now Southampton village is fighting the builder in court. Honestly that house looks like something a 5 year old would draw on an art project. It’s almost a Jeff Bezos level of money to own something that big. The one next to it is built by the same builder and is almost complete. The community of meadow lane started a campaign to have it taken down. Many local people call it Aladin’s castle. You know you’ve messed up when other billionaires can’t stand your house. Hope this helps.

I was there couple years ago. The mansion in your thumbnail seems like it is still being built! When I was there, many owners were not there as I saw a lot of construction workers. They were waving at me in a friendly way when I had my camcorder out taking videos of this stretch.

I almost hit you while I was heading to a job out there...that woulda been good footage😂bicyclist on that road are annoying as hell! Next most annoying thing is all the city people are NOT going home after Columbus Day weekend--traffic will suck year round now and the school districts will be beyond overwhelmed...2020 has sucked beyond what anything can suck--Great content by the way👍🏻

Pretty crappy place to be rich in. Nothing but totally flat boring terrain, gray boring ocean, boring beaches, no interesting vegetation, no hills or mountains, no islands, etc. Seems like the most dull place imaginable for the location of a place where billionaires live. I wouldn't even think of this place if I was rich, let alone live there. But that's maybe because the views wherever I go in my country are at least 200 times better than there.
