Lol I'm always walking down these streets I live right here amazing thank you for showing this video every time I walk in downtown Scranton I feel blessed because of all the beauty around this city
Thanks for watching! Definitely an underrated city to visit with a lot of history, a walkable downtown with nice architecture, a great train museum run by the National Park Service, and you're right next to the Poconos.
I believe I did this walk in downtown Scranton during a Sunday afternoon and some businesses were probably closed, but it was a summer afternoon with nice weather, so not sure if this is typical. On Lackawanna Avenue, there's The Marketplace on Steamtown, which is an indoor mall that may have some more visitors, but I didn't check it out.
@@walkingdrivingincognito the city lacks mixed use zoning and the only apartments downtown are lofts that cost upwards of $1500 a month, and are only usually available to med school graduate students. most "normal" people in the city live in the outer suburbs which typically lack attractive or even functional walking infrastructure, so most people would rather drive to a shopping mall than to enjoy a nice walk in the downtown area.
