Construction began in 1552. Its promoter was Canon Don Hernando de Miranda, who placed the shields of his parents, that of Miranda, on the door, and on the sides those of Robles and Chaves, their maternal lineages.
The property is a beautiful palace from the XVI century with a façade of ashlar masonry. The back of the building had to be renovated in the XIX century due to the damage suffered by the war of independence.
The 1,496m2 building has one interior courtyard, another exterior where the old stables are, a garden, two habitable internal floors, and a third floor for storage (attic).
Its interior courtyard, almost square, with eight monolithic columns topped with historic coats of arms, support wooden footings on which the closed gallery of the first floor rises. From this patio there are stone stairs that lead to the first floor.
The outer courtyard has a building that was the old barn and the stables that are currently used as a garage; together with an old dovecote and greenhouse that are currently in ruins.
The garden, another of the jewels of the house, has exclusive views of the Romanesque Cathedral of Santa María.
The ground floor is distributed around the interior patio, as well as the first floor, which has a closed gazebo on the garden façade.
The property is listed in the PGOU and PECH as well protected grade 1 (environmental protection).
Conservation, restoration and rehabilitation works are authorized to adapt the building to new uses.
