Delhi’s fully developed community kitchen by Gautam Gambhir's foundation provides food to underprivileged at just Re 1. This drive is known as Ek Asha Jan Rasoi programme to eradicate hunger and malnutrition from the society. Everyday around 1000 people receive nutritious meal. The rasoi is functional from 12 noon to 2:30 pm from Tuesday to Sunday serving 'Ek rupay wali thali'.

@@gurindersingh8109 One of the most nutritious mid-day meals for poor students in South India are served by Hindu Temple affiliated NGOs like ISKCON and this has also been well covered by World media. Temples all over India do bhandaras and serve food to poor people after buying taxed food items unlike Free loader Gurudwaras who are exempted from Gov Taxes , Oh Sanghi Government Taxes. Airhead , Go and drive Truck , you got brain for that only Not possible for you to match Hindus , No wonder you guys are shrinking

There are few temples in India that serve as many people in a single day that a langar serves in a year. Why don't you ask churches and Masjids to start serving free food as well? In odisha we have aahar Kendra(centre) which operates in ₹5. I used to eat there when I was studying college. Great way to save money and sometime it's feels like eating with my own family.

@@surajchhetri4922 yahaan pe agar khaane ki kami ho toh baat alag hai. But Aisa nahi hai. And lower middle class ke paas bhi zyada Paisa nahi hota. Woh bhi jugaad se hi chala rahe hote hai mahina. I've lived in such areas of Delhi myself toh mujhe pata hai. Ye good initiative hai and inclusive hai. Sabke liye matlab. Agar log zyada honge then I'm sure they'll increase the capacity of total food being made there
