one thing I've noticed about sequins is that there's been a huge rise w diy sequin in teal or purple colors, especially with Chappell Roan gaining popularity and her concert themes, I agree its tied into shells/mermaid-core🧜🏼♀️
the bugs have been a trend for a couple years now:) the image you showed is from Lambcake and they've been going since early 2022. I would say the orchids are newer than the bugs! BUT- I'm always a bug girl at heart so I support you calling them a 2024 trend hahaha

something in the mainstream that has always given clown to me is that red and white polka dot realisation par dress with the frill collar which has been out for years but i feel like ive only just recently seen it get popular

Lovee the video, once again hahah. I also love where you get your fashion inspiration from, like music you listen to and decades you like. I’ve been trying to get inspiration from things that are not outfits that I just copy from people on Pinterest or instagram because I feel like it is much more easy for me to develop a personal style from getting inspiration from other things like music or subcultures. And I feel like it’s just much more long lasting than adapting other people’s style (even though other fashion people can obviously be a great inspiration too). Anyways, hope this somewhat made sense, English isn’t my first language Love 💖

For me. I'm loving sequins and beads. But in a certain way. More grandma than hannah montana. The type of tacky stuff youd find in a small town thrift store.
