Where I live it is against the law to blow or push snow into the street.

Here's the Hack. Most municipalities have rules, saying the snow on your property should stay on your property. What that means is snow on the street and in front of your mailbox is not required to be put into your yard. The point is, when clearing the driveway of the snow plowed by the city into your driveway can be blown back into the street but cannot block or interfere with traffic. Most of these are rules, not laws that are enforceable. Someone from the city may issue you a verbal warning, but it would be a cold day in Hell before anyone is ever issued a citation.
