GOT A CALL FROM LEE TO SEE IF WE WERE FLYING AND COULD DEANO MAIDEN HIS LATEST TOY THE 85 INCH W/SPAN 60cc HANGER 9 CORSAIR, "OF COURSE WERE FLYING " WE SAID AND POPPED DOWN THE PATCH FOR SOME FUN !
SHE IS POWERED BY A SAITO 57CC FLAT TWIN PETROL FOURSTROKE ENGINE AND IS FITTED WITH ROBART TWIST AND TURN RETRACTS, LEE RUBBED DOWN THE GLOSSY PROFILM WITH 1200 GRADE WET N DRY THEN SPRAYED HER WITH MATT FUEL PROOFER,
FILMED DOWN THE PATCH ON 21-4-2015,

Hangar 9 did a nice job with this Corsair and the lads worked the sticks like they knew what they were doing. Thumbs up to Lee, Deano and the old curmudgeon on the camera. Middle Earth can be proud of your efforts on this day! Cheers, G.

Pete I had an out of order retract after the maiden flight and the new one just arrived. It will fly again as soon as I get the chance to replace the defective one. Regards to you all m8.

Hi,nice engine sound! I wonder what retracts are installed?I have the BH 60 cc Corsair and lots of problems with the electric Lado retracts,apparently they are too weak for the weight. Nice flights and landings!

Great flying and that plane sounds good too. Do you need permission to fly something of that scale or have a passed some sort of flying proficiency test?

Dave Cooper thanks dave, if you belong to a club in the uk it will be affiliated to the bmfa (birtish model flying association) they lay down rules that state you must pass a competency test called the "A" test before you can fly models in the club solo (on your own with no buddy lead)once you've passed this test you then gain experience on bigger and faster models, then if confidante enough try flying bigger warbirds or sports models, some clubs make you take the next test (more complicated manouvres) called the "b" test before going onto bigger models like this corsair, hope this info helps dave - regards pete,
