Listening to this album was an experience. His playing dynamics and the startling, breath infused tones left me with a strange feeling as if I had never heard any sound before. I am still in awe after finishing the album, reeling even from the intensity present on this recording. Thank you for sharing this remarkable and rare treasure!
Immediately fills my soul with space, coherence, spirit, roughness, smoothness, intensity held back & released in complete control... harmony... brings me to tears immediately. Love Watazumi Roshi & his zen. Thank you ❤❤❤
that seems inhumanly possible. I've never heard such subtlety and complexity. it gets pretty quiet though so you have to kinda turn up the volume to hear some of it
Oguz, I found the record here: www.tiliqua-records.com They specialize in obscure Japanese vinyl, and have some Watazumido records in stock now. Contact them and ask them to find it for you and they just might! Good luck!
Hellow, people, how do you do? Thanks for uploading this album! I have a question for one of you guys: In the first pictures, Watazumi-sensei appears playing what it seems to be a shinobue or other traverse flute. Can you tell when someone is playing the shakuhachi or the shinobue when they are playing the same notes? For me, unless I hear some of that airy charcteristic of the shakuhachi, I cannot tell the difference. If you have some hints, I'd appreciate them very much!
