There's something so insanely relaxing to me, watching people reorganize their bookshelves. And seeing all those books in one place, makes me so happy haha

I reorganized all of my books like two days ago, I have one big bookcase and one small one. Every time I reorganize my books I try to go for a different method, so this time I started at the bottom of my small one and worked my way up and then moved to the top of my big one and worked my way down. I did all of my favorites, then what I call "special books" like plays, poetry, classics, biographies, etc., then my tall books that wouldn't look right with any non tall ones, then autographed books, then hardcover stand-alones, hardcover completed series, hardcover series I only had part of, paperback stand-alones, paperback completed series, and finally paperback series I had only part of. I'm not sure how I feel about the way it turned out, but I'm gonna live with it like this for at least a little while because I don't want to go through that all again lol.
There’s just someting so inspiring and lovely about bookshelf reorganising. I have the majority of my books still in my apartment, but as I basically live at my boyfriend’s, I also have a small shelf stocked with books here. Were looking for an apartment together and I’m already looking forward to getting at least 2 new shelves for overflow and new books and reorganising the whole thing.
I'm actually so nervous for when I move with my boyfriend because I never know if the next place I move will have enough room for my shelves 😅It's part of the reason that I got a short shelf instead of another tall one!
Bookshelf organization videos are literally the best thing to watch when you need to either relax or for inspiration. Cleaning or reorganizing, great inspiration I find. Don’t let it stress you out if you like it this way, even if it does turn out the same as you had it beforehand. It makes you happy right? Just curious, what are you using to listen to your audiobooks in this video?
Would you ever consider doing an unhaul or books you don't like or don't have an interest in anymore? I only keep 4 and 5 stars books but I know some people like to keep every book and that's awesome too! So if you need another shelf, get another shelf gurl if you want! 📚💓

So satisfying! Would you ever do a unhaul of books you don't like or books you know you'll never read/ever get to because of your tbr? I know doing that has helped me with my reading slump and has put me back into a reading mood after two months of not really reading.
Books! I like it! It may seem kind off off because before the colorful books were a bit more scattered but balanced, and now the side bookshelves have lots of series with color and the bigger shelves are a tad darker!

That's what a book shelf should look like! Ie have books instead of a gazillion decorative items then call it minimalism or worse, coffee table boooks. I just got my first Billy from Ikea and am putting all my novels. I probably am not as organised as you as mine are just alphabetical by author and the books vary in sizes.

okay I just stumbled across this in my recommended videos and woowwww you have so many books omg i'm jealous!! also the shelves look so nice, I love the look of this kind of organisation where you have matching heights together and some stacked up etc., but for some reason whenever I have my books organised any way except lined up in alphabetical order I can't feel contented, so I can never do it myself
Aww I understand that! I think the first way I ever organized my shelves was alphabetically but then I had too many books for it to all fit and just started playing book tetris and I never went back haha

I think it turned out cute! You make me want to have fancy bookshelves to decorate lol I have a cubby unit from Ikea, and my books are double stacked which makes it annoying to get books from the back when I want a reread.
I used to have my books double stacked and I never realized how many books I had until I took them all out for a new shelf and it was crazy to me!! That was about 4 years ago

That is SO COOL! My boyfriend and I have a theory that all black cats need a tabby cat best friend, I see them in pairs all the time! (Sort of like how their is always a rick for every morty if you watch that show haha)

AHHH YESSS!! I know, I was really debating it but I hated having so many plushies on my shelves, it just looked to cluttered to me! And Will Herondale is just cuter in my opinionn 😭 It was a hard choice though!!

Speaking of Will, that is yet another series I am starting this year. 2019 is looking like the year when I catch up on a lot of writers’ works. I have never read anything by Cassandra Clare. But I’ve bought all her books and now I am ready!
