Wow it would be fun just to wander through the halls. I get a strange feeling just looking at them. Past lives of people haunt these buildings. Happiness and great sadness, Beauitful music!
You were close to at least four more Scottish castles - Inverness, Beaufort, Andrew Carnegie's Skibo Castle, and Castle Stewart. I have been to all the castles you mention. All very interesting - including the ruined Castle Urquhart.
Oh so many Castles... for such a small area..... Take some to Australia please... As I will never get to visit my ggggrandparents lands... Great Video & music really easy viewing...
Thank you so much for the comment! You would be more than welcome to visit this mysterious and majestic country of mine! Go to google and search "visit scotland"
fantastic castles to bad you didn't include the Fraser Castle in Alberdeen Scottland. That is my husband's ancestory home and it's so beautiful that they turn it into a musuem. Do you know about it?
Thank you for such a beautiful video. Castles are so different in architecture...so pictoresque...though ...Castle Drum is missing....Hope it's still there ;-)
A brilliant video showing some spectacular castles. However, You didn't show "Craigievar Castle" ???? Probably the best castle in Scotland with it's history, art and design.
@glasgow1234 Actually that's not specific enough a castle has to house or have housed some kind of nobility of wealthy family and be fortified. a building that houses nobility but isn't fortified is a palace and a fortified building that hasn't housed nobility is a fortification
Most of these seem private.. can u visit them ? also a lot of them seem to have been rebuilt or modified since the middle age, are there some historic castles that are still intact ?? I'm visiting scotland next fall and I want to view most of the medieval Scotland!
I disagree with the choice of most of these pictures, because they give no justice to these amazing places: I've visited most of them, and I can say they're spectacular... Dunrobin Castle, for example, is an incredible castle set in a spectacular place: where's all this in the picture of the video?

If what comes around goes around then there is nothing new under the sun. So a new sun came with new. Ken that infamouny? Sticks and stones built the past generations of those feudal tenancy, those that secured themselves within the walls of time, there was one that entered and time after time always came back just intime. Went with the wind that father time, and mother gave the last supper to that soldier before setting of to war again. In the chronology of Christ's Kingdom, only that principle can ever leave his virgin soil. The soldiers of that Kingdom of Christ, the stones, the stars of Plebiscite Park, Empire of Exterminated.
Did you know that there are no Welsh castles ? (all of the castles there were built by the English to keep the Welsh out) (also the Welsh have invented almost nothing of any significance) Just saying that's all !
